A/N: WARNING: Mild Violence

Damon:

It had been nearly an hour since I'd locked him inside the room. Instead of unlocking the door I Shadow walked inside.

His prone body lay in the middle of a storm of Magic that seemed to continuously siphon into his body without end. The clothes on his body had ripped apart from the onslaught of magic tearing through the room. Markings begun to glow as they filled with power, subduing the darkness that surrounded him.

Blood had started to flow from his seven orifices. I'd have thought he was dead if it wasn't for the glowing Markings and his body twitching. This was something I wouldn't be able to help him with.

Walking over to the kid, I kicked him lightly to roll him over. He must've been far gone because he didn't even make a noise. On his back, his four stars begun to expand. One of the good things about Dark, Shadow, and Nature magic was it strengthened the body without having to physical training. That's why they were classified as 'God Level Elements' even though Nature was looked down upon.

It had always made me curious if that was the only reason for it being classified as such. I'd actually been meaning to speak to Lily about her magic. Lately her Magic has seemed to get stronger; even giving me a feeling of pressure. Which was surprising since I was a solid Star stronger than her.

Women couldn't cultivate physical strength for some reason but I wanted to see if Lily had been able to with her specific element. I'm not sure why I hadn't thought about it until I realized Nathaniel was strengthening his bones, muscles, and internal organs along with his Magic. Even in his half dead state the Elements he held control over would still work such miracles on him.

The last of the Dark Magic was finally thinning and a tiny star begun forming next to the four already on his back. For a child to be already at the beginnings of the 5th Star Stage even when he'd been abused was unheard of. Unthinkable really.

I returned to my spot leaning against a wall to observe Nathaniel.

Nathaniel:

A groan couldn't help but escape my lips as I begun to regain consciousness. When I tried to open my eyes but was only greeted with darkness, my heart began to pound which triggered the magic inside me to circulate.

Markings begun to glow along my exposed arms, bringing light into the small room. Which revealed a ghastly looking Damon in one of the corners. I just barely held back what I assumed would've been a girly scream.

"Use your Magic. You know how magic works correct?"

I shook my head and thinking he may not be able to see me, answered out loud. "No."

"Sigh. Magic is a form of imagination and knowledge blended together. It's not just spells being spoken aloud. Some people feel more assured if they make up spells or even just a word while trying to create magic but it's truly unnecessary. My training that I'll be giving you is ultimately to shape you into a weapon. Your magic is often seen among assassins due to being able to slip inside of places that others can't."

I absorbed what he was saying and kept my mouth shut instead of interrupting him. If he wanted to use me as an assassin I wouldn't object, just as long as two things were fulfilled.

"I've got a request... M-Master.." I couldn't help but stumble over the last word.

"State it."

"Actually it's two. One: If I become an assassin for you then I want to be guarenteed that I can stay with Lily and that no one else will know about this."

His eyes looked almost like a black hole as it was swallowed by his pupil due to the darkness that surrounded us. I begun to sweat because he'd yet to agree to my first request.

"Fine. What's the second?"

"I want to kill the people who ruined my life," I gnashed my teeth as I refused to say their names. Those people are the lowest of pond scum.

"Rest assured. That had been on my agenda for you since the beginning. Otherwise, how else would you get over this minor setback?"

Damon:

I'd expected some resistance but this kid was surprisingly flexible and made me want to teach him more than I had previously. Would he ever surpass his Teacher? I couldn't help but smirk at the thought. Imagining creating an even greater Assassin than myself gave me great pleasure.

"When can we kill them?"

"I have not agreed to help you. That will be under your complete control. We will train here every night and I'll begin having you kill 10 Magical Beasts starting tomorrow. Since you've just reached 5 Stars, the beasts will be the same."

Which meant he'd be battling with a creature that was built stronger than humans with the same level. It wouldn't be easy for him to survive. He seemed to struggle with himself.

"What? You don't agree?"

"That's not it. If that is what you want me to do, then I will. It's just that I don't have a suitable weapon nor do I know how to use one."

I stared at him before glancing down at his Markings that had begun to show up. My smile probably looked terrifying.

"Have you not noticed? Your Markings have decided for you."

On his entire left arm was a mountain of bones from different creatures; standing on top of the pile was a black hooded figure holding a scythe. His robe seemed to be made from Darkness and Shadows as it spilled from his teeth and slithered through the mountain of dead. It was truly a gruesome sight on a child's body.

On his other arm there was just a crow that's head rested on his hand while the body fell on his forearm, wrapping it's wings around. Strange thing was it seemed to slightly glow blue but the color was fleeting.

"You want me to use a scythe? Wouldn't that be difficult for my size? I thought maybe a dagger would be better.."

"You'll use a scythe. I know just the one."

I chuckled a bit before I left him inside the room by himself. This will be his second test. It would make me really happy if he survived the battle with that soul weapon.

"Ha Ha Ha," laughs spilled out of me as I fought the amusement. It felt like tears from laughing to much were about to spill from my eyes.

I took a deep breath and waited. Waited for his success.. or for his soul to be devoured like the rest.

A/N: I'm not sure how long I'm going to stay in their POV's. It's sort of getting to the point where I should head back to Lily. Let me know what you guys think. :)
