Abused every night, by the person

she thought she loved. She

herself to him, and he took

advantage of her.

She comes out with sunglasses

and heavy makeup. Her behavior

changes; she is quiet and secretive.

She wears long sleeves and is jittery

Locked up in her own home.

At night, screams are heard. Arguing

and fighting, everytime he gets angry

He blames everything on her. He

hits her and when he is tired, she

cries herself into a painful sleep.

She is too afraid to leave, She

believes it will break hear family.

Her daughter is coming of age.

She is noticing the hate between

her parents, and how the love is gone.

Her father looks at her, but not

as a father should. He notices

how she matures, and becomes

a young lady. She notices it too

she avoids him and leaves hints to

her imprisoned mother to leave.

But her mother is too afraid.

her fear has taken over now.

One night, a shot is heard. The daughter

wakens and runs into her parents' room

She sees her mother on the ground crying

and her father on front of her mother.

his blood spreads on the ground. A gun

right beside him. A note is on the bed.

her mother looks up at her daughter.

Blood and tears smeared on her face.

"I'm sorry" She sobs and grabs the gun

Her daughter screamed, but it was too late.

Another shot is blown into the hate

The daughter cries until the police came

She is all alone and was too late

to help or at least leave

with her mother by her side.
