I've been following Isobel around for a while.
Her life is pretty boring.
She went to school.
I've done that before.
But we were at school, once again.
"So do you like anyone?" I asked trying to start a conversation.
"What?" she asked pulling books from her locker.
"You know..like a crush?"
"Uhm, no"
"You hesitated"
"No, I didn't"
"Yes, you did"
"No I-"
She was interrupted by a boy.
"Hey, Isobel. Who were you just talking to?" HE asked.
She turned her focus to him.
"Oh, no I was just uhm-uh-I was just-" she interrupted herself with a smile.
Was she blushing?!
"I was just singing" she lied.
"Oh, okay. Well, I-uh. I-was wondering if you would wanna see a movie with me on Saturday. I mean, we just finished testing and-"
BAM. Where did that come from?!
"Yes! I mean, uh, yes. I would uh- uhm I would love too definitely" she said.
"Great! I'll text you the show times?"
"Yeah, sure" she said as he walked away.
"Hannah, you okay?!" Isobel asked.
"Hannah- Why are your eyes glowing red?" she asked.
She closed her locker and stared at my eyes.
"I know they glow EVERYTIME you get mad. Hannah?! Why're you mad?!" she asked.
I didn't answer.
I was too angry.
"Hannah-"
"Why are you talking to him?" I asked her.
"What-
Who?!" she asked.
I didn't say anything. I was waiting for her to catch on.
"What- Wait. Do you know him?"
"Yes, Isobel.
I know Hunter"
