Sick Tracer x Reader

This was requested by @rwbyfan722 and to help with the story you don't get sick easily and that's why Mercy wants you to watch over Tracer.

~(y/n) POV~
"What did I tell you Lena. If you play in the rain with that broken sweater you'd get sick for a week."

"Shadup. It was worth it."

"Mmh sure it was now finish your soup."

I hold up a spoonful of chicken noodle soup as she slowly struggles to get up. I shift her so that her back is on the wall of pillows I got her. As she finishes the soup her eyes get heavy and she struggles to keep her head up. I adjust her position so she's laying down until she gets a coughing fit.

"*cough* I'm dying (y/n) *cough* I want you to pu*cough* to put on my grave I died in the arms of my beloved."

"Hehe ok I will but before you die I want you to get some rest."

"But I'm *cough* dead. I don't need rest."

"Shush little one and try to sleep, or do you want me to get the medicine that Angela prescribed for you?"

"Noooo. Anything but that, I'll sleep see. Snore. I'm sleeping now."

She quickly closes her eyes and pretended to sleep as I smile warmly at her. Grabbing the dishes I take them to the kitchen to wash them. Mei walks into the room and looks confused when her eyes land on me.

"Hey (y/n)."

"Hey Mei. What's up. You look confused?"

"It's nothing but Lena is talking to you in her room. Is she sick because if she is she's probably hallucinating right now."

"Damn. Whatever thanks for telling me."

I rush to her room to see she was talking to me, but to Genji.

"Oh (y/n) did I ever tell you the time I ran so fast on the highway but I didn't see the speed bump and I almost landed on my face. Thankfully I have my recall so before I hit the ground I went back. Now Soldier keeps a special eye on me whenever we go out."

Her face was red and she seemed very out of it.

"Hey Genji. Has she just been like this or has her mood been all over the place?"

"No she's just like this but she has a lot of interesting stories she would like to tell you."

Genji leaves the room as I go to the bathroom to get a cloth. I put it in cold water, ring it out, and quickly go back to Lena then put it on her forehead.

"Hey (y/n)?"

"Yeah, what is it Lena? Are you uncomfortable or do you need something?"

"No it's just that I want to thank you for everything, and I'm not just talking about being my personal nurse today. I mean that you are always there for me. Whenever I get hurt during battle you always rush me to a medkit or healer, you'll take anyone out if they try to hurt me, heck you even pushed me out of the way when Pharah did her missile barrage. Now I just want to know is why?"

She looks at me with half lidded eyes and a smile I couldn't resist as I blush the brightest red.

"Well Lena it is true that I protect you a-and the reason is that I sorta haveacrushonyoubutIdon'twanttoruinourfriendship."

She gives me a blank stare as I get nervous to look at her anymore.

"Could you *cough* repeat that love. You said it to fast."

I take a deep breath as I rub the back of my neck.

"I have a crush on you but I don't want to ruin our friendship by making it weird. So to show you my love in a weird way I've just been trying to help you as much as I can."

"Aww love why didn't you tell me before? I *cough cough* love you too."

We both have red faces now. Hers redder than mine because she's sick. I smile at her as I kiss the top of her forehead as she slowly goes to sleep again. I try to leave but Lena grabs my hand.

"Noo. Don't go. Stay."

"Fine."

I smile as I lay in her bed as she cuddles closer to me. I put my arm around her waist as she falls asleep. I slowly fall asleep as Lena shifts in her sleep.

~Time skip~

I wake up to someone poking my face.

"Ugh. Five more minutes."

"Love I need your help."

"Fiine. What cha need help with."

I open my eyes to see Lena looked better not as red but you could hear it in her voice that she was still sick.

"Can you please get me some medicine."

"Sure Lena. Anything else?"

"No just the medicine. Thank you love."

I go to the infirmary and find some night quill. Before I could leave I hear someone calling my name.

"(Y/n)! I would like to ask you how Lena's doing."

"She's fine, no she doesn't have stomach pain, she does have headaches, she does have her apatite, she has gone to sleep but she wakes up from the headaches. Anything else?"

"Ah no but how did you know what I was going to ask?"

"I guessed. Now if you don't mind I have a patient to help."

I walk out of the infirmary with an annoyed expression. Don't get me wrong Mercy's a good doctor but she has meaningless conversations with me and I can't bullshit her today.

"Hey Lena I have th..."

I walk in to see Lena was sleeping again. Smiling I put the medicine on her counter as I turn on the tv and put it at its lowest volume. I sit down best to Lena as I mindlessly flip through the channels.

"(Y/n)?"

"Yeah. And before you ask I brought the medicine."

"Oh thank you."

She sits up as I slowly give her the small cup of medicine. After she drinks it she lays down next to me again but she doesn't go to sleep.

"Hey (y/n)."

"Yeah?"

"I love you."

"I love you too."

They watch tv until they both fall asleep. As Athena turns of the tv the new couple stay in each others arms for the entire night and even as day broke.
