My parents took me straight to the hospital after the police station, knowing that I must have broken something. They weren't wrong, I broke three of my fingers and fractured another, which, to be honest, isn't as bad as I thought. I assumed my nose or jaw was fractured but they were just bruised, as was my arm and most of my face. I had to have stitches on my jaw/cheek for god knows why, which are luckily by my ear and quite small.

My right hand being in a cast is probably one of the worst ways to start school in two days, but nothing could be done about it now. Tomorrow everyone is moving into their dorms and having a look around campus before school actually starts the next day. I'm supposed to be sharing a room with Calum, but I'm not so sure if he wants to anymore, that might be a problem.

I had already packed my suitcases a few nights ago, so tomorrow I have nothing to do apart from leave. I only just realised I can't drive there myself like I had planned, my parents are going to have to take me. Great.

Looking through my window and into her room, I noticed Annie was still absent, even if it was the next day. I wanted to call her but if she's still in the cell then she won't get it, who else can I ask? Calum sprung to mind and I instantly called him, having multiple questions I needed him to ask. He didn't answer the first time so I called again, just in case his phone was on 'do not disturb' or whatever.

"What do you want? I'm busy." He stated, huffing into the phone.

"Oh, uh, well did you know if Annie got out alright? Wait- D'you know what happened last night? With me and Cole?" I sat down on my bed, kicking my shoes off and laying backwards, thinking about where Annie is right now.

"Yeah she's out. She's fine, I don't know what she's doing now, probably watching Netflix. Is that all?"

"She's staying at yours? Why is she- how D'you not know what she's doing if she's at yours?" I changed my question, not wanting to be a complete ass. I knew they were best friends and nothing more, thats what they were. Best friends. Nothing more.

"I'm on a date, so if you don't mind-" my mind instantly went to the thoughts I didn't want to have, making me ask the stupidest question when he clearly stated otherwise.

"With Annie?"

"No, dipshit, with Nina. Annie's yours, I wouldn't do that. She's my best friend, dude, don't worry about us." He sounded a lot calmer now, as if the mention of Annie and Nina was all he needed to settle his mind.

"Um, thank you. Last thing I swear-"

"Ugh, for gods sake."

"-are we still rooming together at collage? Or...?" I was nervous for his answer, him and the other two are my only friends and Ash and Mikey are defiantly sharing together, so if Cal went with someone else I would have to go with a complete stranger.

"Yes, idiot, you didn't break my heart. But just know that I will easily snap your neck if you fuck this up with Annie. Right, bye." He hung up, presumably going back to his date, leaving me with a somewhat satisfying answer. Apart from the whole heartbreak and snapping my neck thing, I didn't want to hear that.

Knowing that she was at Calum's, and not her own place, I decided to text Annie, in hopes of attempting to sort things out.
