"Sometimes, talking about it is just what you need, trust me, it'll help you,"
                            •••
It's been months since my last conversation with Shawn. Of course I was sad, but I had to move forward in life, I can't sit around waiting for him when he wouldn't do it for me. He chose his path, so now it's time for me to choose mine.

"Leah, get out here, there's someone I want you to meet," Leroy's voice boomed through the empty house

"Coming!" Getting off of my bed, I opened my bedroom door and made my way down the hallway. It was currently 11:00am and I had already brushed my teeth, of course it was a Saturday, so I just sat in my pj's and binge watched 'How I Met Your Mother' on Netflix. This better be good if he's dragging me out of my bed. As I reached the kitchen, I was confused to see a complete stranger standing in front of me.

"Finally," Leroy sighed as I continued to stare at the girl before me. Her hair wasn't your usual, normal shade. It was light pink with a tint of silver, pairing well with her bright blue eyes and pink rose lipstick. "Leah, I'd like you to meet Robyn, my girlfriend," He smiled that huge smile of his, to show me he was truly happy with her, hinting at me not to mess this up

"Hey! It's lovely to meet you," I smiled, shaking her hand and catching a glimpse of Leroy's satisfied expression, "I would
hug you but I still have to grab a shower," I laughed, earning one in return

"No worries, it's great to meet you too, Leroy's told me so much about you! I can already tell we're going to get along so well," She smiled a genuine smile, her features showed consideration and humbleness, a perfect match for my brother

"I think so too," I chuckled, "I have to go grab a quick wash but afterwards do you want to do something? Only if you and Leroy haven't any plans already,"

"Well, we did but I guess I could spare her for today," Leroy teased, bringing his arm around Robyn's neck and pulling her in for a kiss

"Cute, yeah I'm going to leave before I throw up," I laughed and walked back down the hallway towards my room. Watching them together made me happy for Leroy, but almost... sad for me.

Picking out my outfit for today, I settled for a red checked flannel and black vest top, some blue ripped jeans and a pair of brown ankle boots, the fur on them adding a bit of a winter vibe. I put on some light makeup to keep it natural and let my hair fall down my back. Grabbing a tanned bag from my wardrobe, I threw my belongings into it and spritzed a bit of perfume onto my neck before letting it settle in. Grabbing my keys, I closed my bedroom door and headed back to the kitchen.

"Hey, are you ready?" I smiled at Robyn as she sipped her hot chocolate

"Yeah, let me put this in the sink first," she returned the smile and poured the rest of her coco down the drain before picking up her bag and kissing Leroy goodbye.

"Bye girls, have fun!" Leroy waved from the door as we climbed into the car

"Bye, Elroy," I replied before shutting the door and backing out of the driveway

"So, were are we heading?" Robyn asked

"That's a secret," I winked

Ten minutes later I pulled into the biggest shopping center closest to my house and parked in the nearest spot I could find.

"Holy shit, I love this place! How did you know?" Robyn beamed, grinning from ear to ear

"I may or may not have asked Leroy when you were grabbing your coat," I smiled, taking the keys from the ignition and grabbing my bag from the back

"You're so sweet! Thank you," Pulling me in for a hug, I returned it before locking the car and heading into the mall, "So where to first?" I asked

"Starbucks," She smirked

"To Starbucks we go,"

Hauling the bags into the boot of my car, I closed it down and jumped back into the drivers seat. "That was a successful trip," I laughed, trying to hide the fact that Shawn's face seemed to be haunting me everywhere as it was plastered over the walls in the mall for his Armani collaboration. Not to mention his songs playing on the radio every five minutes.

"What's up?" Robyn asked, tilting her head to the side, a concerned look on her face

"Nothing, I'm fine," I smiled, putting the key into the slot

"You're not, we aren't leaving here until you tell me why you're upset," Leaning over, she quickly took the keys from the ignition and sat on them, so I had no chance of taking them back

"I don't really want to talk about it, please can I have my keys back?" I pleaded

"Sometimes, talking about it is just what you need, trust me, it'll help you," She smiled slightly, waiting for me to speak

"Okay..." I sighed, clearing my throat I fiddled with the ring on my middle finger, trying to think of the words to say, "There was this guy, and it was pretty complicated with him, but I know we had something. He's a singer and I saw him all over the mall and heard him on the radio and it just sucks, it really fucking sucks.

He broke up with his girlfriend and we began getting closer and he seemed happier, or maybe I was just blinded by his good looks, but either way, I felt something for him, he was always there for me. Of course I had Adam, he's my best friend by the way, but I needed his reassurance to know if something was going to be okay. Then one day while we were on FaceTime to him, he seemed off, I then went to the bathroom and left Adam to talk to him. When I came back I overheard part of their conversation, which was Shaw-" I cut myself off, "Him saying that he had gotten back together with his ex and couldn't talk to me anymore, and wait until you hear the best part.

He told Adam not to tell me and to keep it a secret, can you believe he has the audacity to even think that Adam wouldn't tell me? I don't know what I ever saw in him," I scoffed

"I do," Robyn stated, her voice cool and calm

"You do?"

"You love him."
