day before graduation.

<< josh >>

i was laying down with y/n, she fell asleep. she looked so cute, i'm a lucky guy. (a/n:josh stop)

in one day everything is over, the drama, the stress, 8 hours of hell. isn't it great?

i looked at my graduation gown and cap that was sitting next to y/n's, they were red and white for the guys and navy and white for the girls, surprisingly they were really nice.

i was playing with y/n's hair and just remembered how many memories i've made in high school.

"is it really over?" i said to myself. "it all went so fast.."

"it did."

i looked up and saw tyler outside of my room.

"mom let me in."

"i could tell, what's up ty?" i said trying not to be loud.

"move josh i also wanna lay down." tyler pushed me a little to the side and laid down. "anyways, i'm kinda freaked out."

"why is that tyler?" who doesn't feel happy about leaving hell? "aren't you glad we're gonna be over with school?"

"i am," tyler kinda looked down. "i'm just afraid we're all gonna drift like every other people."

"that got deep." i heard y/n's voice, i turned around and saw her awake. "sorry if i scared ya."

"yeah you did," tyler said. "but still, i mean what if you and i aren't best friends anymore? what if y/n and i stop being taco bell buddies? what if jenna and i break up, i love her with all my heart!"

"ty," i said trying to calm him down. "that's not gonna happen."

"actually josh," y/n said. "there's an 80% chance that's gonna happen.."

".." tyler and i were speechless.

"and i notice i'm not making things any better," y/n said it was more quiet. "erm—i think i left my oven on, i—i have to go."

"y/n we all know you don't cook." tyler and i said.

"that's why i have to go!" y/n stood up. "my house is gonna burn down."

y/n was about to leave until i grabbed her by the forearm. "please stay."

"fine," y/n sat down. "only because i wanna help out, but not in an awkward way."

"you know tyler our friendship is actually really strong," i said. "we've been through thick and thin and still managed to be friends for 9 years."

"yeah," tyler smiled. "i'm grateful for the day we met."

"ooh," y/n squealed. "story time! tell me how you guys met."

"okay then," tyler laid back. "i was only 9 years old when i decided to join tinder and i found a guy with the same age as me named joshua dun and i texted him saying 'waddup dude, i'm tyler and i'm too emo to function' and then he texted back saying 'wow me too' and i was like 'let's be best frens'."

we all laughed, but y/n was serious she really wanted to know. "come on, tell me the actual story!"

"fine." tyler said. "when i was younger, i used to be homeschooled but then they moved me to regular public school. to be honest it was awful being with a bunch of stupid kids."

"and i was already in public school at the time but i was bullied because of my looks, and well the same day that tyler came to our school he started getting bullied and well i stopped those kids from bullying him, but they ended up beating me up.."
