<< Y/N POV >>

I got out of bed I knew practice was going to be great, and seeing all my friends. Dallon's first day in Columbus High will get lit.

I grabbed some practice clothes, my books, computer, my black stepper duffel bag that had the school's name and my name, and my position as Sergeant of the team engraved in it.

I walked out the door, my mom wasn't here. Her shifts were from 4 in the morning to 9 now, so I decided to walk to school. I saw Josh, Abbie, Ashley waiting outside.

Josh already knew what my favorite coffee was, so he bought the drinks. "Hey, ready to go?"

"I'm ready to go." *panic! at the disco reference*

"So practice is starting earlier than usual right?" Ashley turned to look at me and Abbie. "And why do you guys have your names and positions on your duffel bag?"

"The majors, need to have their stuff named because then the normal dancers would probably confuse the bags, while the normal dances only have their names and that's it." I said walking next to Josh who had his arm around me.

"Yeah, since the festival is coming up we decided to start practice earlier so the stompers and the steppers can have a head start." Abbie started looking at the sky. The sun hasn't come out yet, it's only 5 in the morning.

"Oh well, what does it feel like being a Sergeant and 1st Lieutenant?"

"Stressful, all the dancing and you have to impress everyone with the dance moves.." I let out a sigh.

"But no matter what you both dance amazing even if you're not trying!" I blushed immediately when Josh said that.

We finally made it to school, Brendon was already there with Ryan and Dallon, we just needed Tyler and Jenna to show up.

"Who's ready for practice?" Brendon started acting all sassy and girly. We all just laughed.

Me, Abbie, and Brendon went straight to the practice room. Since the dance teacher got along with us they let Josh, Dallon, and Ryan watch us practice as they were waiting for Tyler and Jenna to show up.

The room was full of both male and female teenager dancers. The instructor put us in pairs and well since Brendon and I were both sergeants we had to dance together. Brendon was always full of energy, which made it kinda hard to dance with him for the opening dance, but hey he helped me and well he's funny.

<< Josh's POV >>

I may not be a dancing person but Y/N danced like an angel and Brendon well he is Brendon. I couldn't wait to ask her to be the love of my life in the festival.

"Hey dude, so do you know what songs you guys are going to play?" Ryan asked.

"Yeah, Tyler is going to play the one that he dedicated to Jenna so that I could ask Y/N out, and well the other one is a secret."

"Just don't tell Brendon or else everyone will find out." Dallon said laughing.

"So are you going to do your thing?" Ryan whispered in my ear. "Y'know the backflips and solos all that stuff."

"Ryan don't pressure him." We heard Tyler making another entrance with Jenna.

"Back at it again with the entrances Tyler.." Ryan said which made Dallon giggle.
