Today was the day, I perform in front of 300 or more teenagers. I got picked up early by my grandmother so that I could get ready, but I didn't know the setlist yet so I didn't know what to wear first.

Abbie: hey! sorry for late notice this is the setlist, where you're going to be dancing on. also they'll give you a signal whenever you need to come out. At the festival come with your stepper dress, and some makeup. We will also have some professionals do the more difficult makeup. I'll tell you the rest when you come here! *insert setlist*

Y/N: okay thanks!

I grabbed my uniform and put it on. I packed some dresses that Jenna, Frida, and Sarah helped me pick out for the performances.

"Y/N, I know you don't want to be like us someday and I respect your choice, you are so talented and I hope the choice you make will make you proud."

"Thanks granny, I already packed everything. Can I go to Josh's?"

"Sure! Have fun!" I started walking down the neighborhood and knocked on Josh's front door.

"Hey Y/N, come in." Jordan greeted me. He was back from his field trip. "You want something to drink or anything? And I mean anything.."

"I'm good Jordan, what's wrong?" I sat down on the couch in the living room.

"I-I just.." he looked at me with his nervous eyes. "I just missed you okay?"

"What do you mean?" I started getting a bit scared, did he mean it as a friend? I'm scared.

"It's just that you're an amazing person, and well I know I'll never have a chance with you, but friends?" His eyes were getting kinda teary.

"I may be older but hey, we will always be friends Jordan, you're one of my favorite freshmans." A/N: Jordan goes to a different high school cuz why not :b. I just hugged him trying to make him feel better.

"T-Thanks Y/N, Josh is really lucky to have you.." We let go from the hug and I heard footsteps down the stairs. It was Josh and his dad, he had his drum set and they were putting it in the car. Me and Jordan stood up and helped so that anything won't fall.

I noticed Josh was wearing his hood and a cap to cover his hair, why? When we finished Josh gave me a hug and stared at my black and silver long sleeved uniform. "You look stunning!"

"Wait till she wears her other outfits Josh!" Abbie came down with her stuff, and a high ponytail. "I bet your jaw will drop."

"Nah, look at yourself Abbie you look like a queen!" I started laughing. Josh hugged both of us.

"You'll both look beautiful!" He hugged us really tight. "Now get in the car so that you both get ready and I start setting up my drums with the boys."

On our way to school Abbie was explaining everything to me, but I got lost in thought just thinking why Josh wouldn't let me see his hair. I tried to play with him and try to remove the hood but his reflexes were really fast. "Ah, ah, ah you aren't touching my hair until we finish the show."

I pouted like a child. "Why don't you let me see your hair Jujishwa?" I said in a child voice and tried to play with his hair even more.
