so i've been liking this guy since my last year of middle school, and i was lucky enough to go to the same high school with him again. he's kind of a bad boy if you wanna put it that way, but i still like him anyway, and still wondering when he would like me back. at least.

now that i moved into a dorm, i didn't have to wake up as early as i did. the last week of holiday has passed, which meant we have to get to school. this morning, of course, i walked a five-minute walk to school with jisung. he's a nice guy. but he may be a little awkward. if he doesn't know what to say, he would just pop his earphones on or scroll random stuff through his phone. and yes, i noticed.

new school year, new classes, new classmates. i took a look at each classroom's students until i found mine. turned out, jisung and i were in the same class. i already knew then it would be more awkward than it already is at home since we're in the same class. i sighed and dropped my backpack on a seat at the second row from the back, and the second from the left column. shortly after, jisung came in and sat at the last row and at the left corner of the class. is he a loner? i thought.

this long-held crush i was talking about has just entered the classroom. he's been in the same class as i am since middle school. lucky me. he's choi bomin, the school's prince charming. okay i take back the bad boy term i gave to him. he's just so friendly with everyone, that every girl here and there wants to at least talk to him. he looked like he doesn't mind at all though.

"YAH PARK JISUNG!"

i looked back at bomin's voice.

"yah, finally after all these years, we're in one class!" bomin chimed with a big smile on his face, and so did jisung.

jisung gave him their handshake as he got up from his seat, "i know right. i guess this year's gonna be a good year after all!"

the two kept talking and chit chatting with each other as my eyes just widened up. bomin was now sitting just behind me, beside jisung. i was startled. i didn't expect this to come. but, i didn't know that jisung and bomin were this close.

thankfully, the first day of school ended. my school wasn't like a normal school. our system was made just so we could study ourselves. and it's only been a day, but we have extra work to do at home.

i spent some time catching up with my friends after a long holiday, so i arrived home later. when i entered the dorm, jisung was on the couch scrolling through his phone with the tv on.

i sat down beside him, "jisung-ah, are you and bomin close?"

he looked up from his phone and smiled, "yeah, we've been friends since middle school actually. and our parents are pretty much best friends."

"lucky you.." i mumbled under my breath.

"you like him don't you?" i widened my eyes as he formed a smirk on his face.

i stuttered, "uh—no. haha, that's funny." i rubbed my nape as he looked at me in more suspicion.

he stared at me with tiger eyes, "hmm, so you do like him..."

i shook my head, "no i don't!"

he smirked again, "then why are your ears and cheeks starting to go red?"

i covered my cheeks and just quietly went in my room, not forgetting to grab my backpack. closing my door shut, i rubbed my cheeks to erase the blushing going on.

"so you do like him..." i teased as her ears and cheeks were transforming into a shade of pink?

she shook her head, "no i don't!" and left to her room.

she closed her door shut and i just chuckled at it. i mean, she could've just told me and i could help. well, maybe it's just because we've just met. oh well. she'll gradually ask for my help anyway.

after a while of watching more tv, it was finally almost dinner. i opened the fridge to find some leftover ingredients from yesterday to cook a simple meal. i wasn't really good at cooking, but i'm pretty good at being meticulous and following recipes.

as i slowly started to chop some beef and onions, taerin came out of her room, looking at me cooking.

she approached me, "you can cook?"

i chuckled, "i'm not a cook, but i can follow recipes well. why? do you not trust me?"

she shrugged and left for the tv. i was making my favorite beef soup. i mean, it doesn't have a specific name because my mom just randomly created this recipe and i guess i loved it.

once i was done cooking, i put put the pot on the small table. i huffed and called out, "lee taerin the food is—"

realizing i didn't hear her voice, i checked what she was doing on the couch. she fell asleep. cute. i chuckled. i put a blanket on top of her and ate by myself.
