Chapter 12: Meetings/Reunion

Sky kept his head down praying to whatever god there was to make the pain stop. But he knew
that no one would answer, I mean what good is praying when he’s always been alone. Sky
thought about the first time he got away, he felt free, alive, happy. He found friends, a place to
stay,he got to go to school, he made a life for himself, got to know what it felt like to be normal.
A small tear ran down his face “What’s wrong?” A voice asked Sky looked up to see a woman
“You’re.” He started she gave a nod “You don’t need to feel guilty none of this is your fault.” She
said. Sky frowned “I hurt Mai. She probably hates me now.” He said Amy shock her head “She
doesn’t if anything she feels responsible for all this happening.” She said, Sky was about to say
but heard “You can come with me or stay here, it’s your choice.” Amy said, Sky didn’t need to
think “I need to see her.” The door slammed open to reveal Ash, rage grew through every inch
of his body to find the room empty “I knew she’d pull something like this.” He spat “Even in
death that bitch is still a nuisance.”. Mike jumped in surprise to see Amy and Sky appear in front
of him “What? How?” He said Amy just giggled at him. He sighed and smirked “You just love
pissing that boy off.” MIke said shaking his head, Amy just grinned “Just take care of Sky and
the kids, it’s not the right time, not yet.” She said Mike nodded. Sky thanked Amy and left to find
Mai, he managed to find her staring out her window. He can tell from here that she’s been
crying and that breaks his heart knowing her was the one who did this to her.
“Talk to her.” Ethan said causing Sky to jump “When did you.” “Man up, dude. Sh'e needs to
know you're ok. She’s been like this for the past few day. Mai wont eat or come out of her room,
all she does is cry wishing for you to come back.” Ethan explained Sky looked at the ground and
gave a small nod, Ethan patted his shoulder before leaving. “Mai?” Sky said softly so he didn’t
scare the poor girl “Sky, I” She started turning to face him, tears already running down her face.
Trying to talk was not an option for her, everytime she tried to speak a sob would escape her
lips. For the past three days she didn’t know if he was dead or alive and here he is standing in
front of her looking like he got hit by a bus, but it didn’t seem to bother him because he stood
there giving her an apologetic smile. Sky gently pulled Mai down on the bed with him and held
her close to his chest as she cried “Shh, it’s okay. It’s okay. I’m right here.” He said placing a
small kiss on her head. Mike and Flame stood in front of their followers, none of them know why
their masters have summoned them. Ever since the war they all had to go into hiding just to
survive, if they didn’t they would end up dead just like some of the others. They stayed hidden
for 12 years wishing to feel the sun on their skin again and now here they are in from the King
and his right hand women. The silence was broken by someone speaking up “If you’re here
does that mean Ash isn’t all that strong?” “Don’t be stupid Ash rules over the Royal family!”
Soon enough everyone was fighting.
A young demon stood on a table “Everyone shut up!” She shouted all eyes turned to her, her
red hair fell down her back, freckles ran across her face along with an embarrassed blush, her
green eyes looked around nervously “Please.” She whispered. Mike place a hand her head, she
jumped a little not used to people being nice to her, he nodded at her. She took a deep breath
before speaking “Ash is strong, he takes this drug that enhances his power.” “How do you know all this?” Someone asked “Because Ash is my brother.” She said. The room fell silent “Mike
saved me, I was never wanted and was an experiment to him. Being sick of his abuse I’m going
to help you take him down.” She said. Flame stepped forward “Very well said Nami. She will
answer questions you have about this drug Ash uses. Emily you will help her.” Flame explained
“So listen close.” Mike said. Finally their battle is about to being, how is Mai and her friends going to get through this one? Only time will tell.
