Calum's POV
"Hey babe!"
I heard Mona's loud voice come near.
"Hey"
I looked up from my phone and felt her lips crash into mine. I felt paralyzed to her. she held my hands and wrapped it around her forcefully. I pulled away but she held my hand tightly.
There was only about 2 people In front of me before I could order my food.
I looked back down at my twitter feed hoping for some peace until Mona half whispered half shouted.
"That's the bitch that stepped on my dress babe that's her!"
I looked at her and saw that her gaze was towards a girl behind me. the girl had her back turned to me so I didn't respond. I looked back at Mona confused. She took this as her cue to continue.
"Turn around you little coward!"
She basically called the poor girl out. I looked back at Mona and gave her a disapproving look before turning back to the girl.
"That's right now babe yell at her!"
As soon as my eyes met contact with hers I froze. I couldn't move.
It was her. It was actually Misty. She was standing right in front of me. But what was she doing here in London? I stood there paralyzed still until Mona had to continue to run her mouth again.
"Babe why aren't you yelling?!?"
I could barely move my mouth.
"I-I cant."
I couldn't take my eyes off of her. She was even more beautiful. I could tell that she was hurt and scared by the way Mona had called her out. I knew that Misty was a very shy and insecure girl.
"Fine if you're not going to call her out I will."
Mona's words snapped me out of my frozen state. Before I could speak Mona had already gotten to Misty.
"Listen here you slut, I don't know why you keep staring at my boyfriend but you better get your ass away from here do you hear me?"
I felt bad for her. I didn't know what to do about it. Then she looked back at me asking for help but I just stood there watching. I was disgusted by the way that Mona had spoken to her. I was going to stop the fight but Misty had already turned her back and walked away.
Fuck.
Mona walked back to me and reached out her hand for mine but I jerked it away.
"Calum?"
She tried again but I folded my arms across my chest.
"Calum babe why aren't you letting me hold your hand?"
"People are watching now hold my hand!"
She whispered angrily at me.
I seriously couldn't stand her anymore.
"Mona I think we should break up."
I looked at her sternly giving her a serious look.
"Wh-what are you talking about?"
There was hurt that flickered in her eyes but I ignored it. It wasn't the same hurt that showed in Misty's eyes.
"I'm gonna say this one last time. We're over Mona."
I turned my back at her and walked away clenching my fists as she shouted at me.
"You Dick! How could you!"
I ignored it as I scanned the food court looking for Misty. I saw her standing by Luke talking. I tried walking faster but she noticed me and turned to walk away. No I couldn't let her leave my life again. I am a complete mess without her. I needed her. I managed to catch up I her before she stepped onto the escalator. I pulled her to the nearest bench and sat her down. I could tell she was upset because she wouldn't make eye contact with me.
"Are you okay?"
She didn't reply.
"Misty."
"Misty look at me."
She sighed and looked at me with her brown eyes.
"Hey, I'm sorry for what she did."
I admitted hoping she would talk to me. She didn't reply once again and looked away.
"Look the reason why I didn't stop her was that I was really surprised that you were standing there right in front of me."
I wanted to tell her everything that has been going on with me but I didn't want to scare her away. I wanted to give a clue to her that I missed her so much.
"It's fine. I understand. Tell your girlfriend I'm sorry for stepping on her dress. I have to go now so I'll see you around Calum."
My heart broke when she quickly ended our conversation. She didn't want me anymore. I don't blame her. It's been 3 years without her.
"She's not my girlfriend anymore, Misty."
I stood up with her as well.
"What do you mean she's not your girlfriend?"
She turned around raising her voice.
"You guys just made out right in front of me."
She covered her mouth with suprised eyes.
"I'm so sorry I didn't mean-"
I cut her off before she could say anymore.
"It's fine I didn't like her anyways."
She uncovered her mouth and made an 'o' with her mouth. We both sat down again. I broke the silence and asked her a question.
"How have you been for the past years?"
I was biting my tongue trying not to bring any of our past up.
"I've been good. What about you?"
This was my chance to tell her how I feel. But how? I shifted around on the bench uncomfortably until I found the right words.
"I could be better you know?"
She felt uncomfortable I know it.
"Well if that's all then I'm going to head back to Jess's place."
She was staying with Jess? maybe that's why she was here in London.
"You're staying with Jess?"
I managed to ask her before she walked away again.
"Yeah until I find my own place actually."
"Oh"
So she's going to live here in London now. I wonder why she left Australia for.
"Are you getting picked up or driving?"
I wanted to talk to her more before she left me forever.
"I'm walking so I better go before it gets darks. Bye Calum see you around."
"Wait do you want me to drop you off?"
She stopped and thought about it.
"Ye-yeah sure"
She stuttered which meant she was either nervous or scared of me.
"Great lets go get Luke."
We both walked back to the food court searching for our tall friend.
