Misty's POV

I brought my luggage downstairs to the taxi that was waiting outside for me. As I dropped my bags in the trunk of the taxi, my parents came up to me and gave me one last hug before I leave to the airport.

"Misty you know we are incredibly proud of you right? We're glad that you're pursuing your dreams in London!" My mother says as she holds both my hands in hers.

I try to look at her but tears start forming in my eyes.

This is it. I'm on my own now. I'm on my way to London to start my career as a photographer on my own.

As my step-father shuts the door of the taxi I wave goodbye to my old house and my beloved parents.

Arriving at the airport I text one of my friends that is letting me stay at her house while I settle down in London.

-hey just arrived at the airport heading to London now see yah there! Xx

I head to my seat on the plane as the flight attendant checks everyone for their seatbelt. luckily no one sits next to me throughout the flight. I jam my head phones in and listen to music to fall asleep.

I wake up to the sound of the flight attendant announcing our arrival at the airport. I grab my phone and text my friend Jess.

-Just landed I'll meet you by baggage claim?

She replied within minutes.

-sure thing! Excited to see you again M! (: Xx

As I take my carry on out of the upper compartment I feel a poke on my shoulder.

"Misty?"

It's a female voice that sounds way to familiar. I turn my head and my mouth drops open at the sight of her.

"Mali!"

I gasp as we embrace in a hug.

We walk out together and head to baggage claim just talking. I notice that she tried not to bring up his name throughout our talk. I knew I had to break the ice so I bravely asked her.

"Hey sorry for asking but how is Calum?"

I almost break after saying his name.

She smiles at me and grabs her baggage.

"He could be better you know."

I didn't know what that was supposed to mean but I just nodded and told her id see her later and grabbed my bags off the belt. I searched for Jess wondering where she was until I see her sitting on a bench next to a recognizable man. I call out her name just as she looks up from her phone.

"Misty!"

She give me a hug and helps with my bags.

Then the guy sitting next to her stands with her. I look up and my eyes widen.

"Ashton is that you?"

He chuckles and hugs me as well.

"Why are you here?!?!" I question him as his dimples pop out.

"Well the boys and I are on tour and were staying in London for 6 months!"

When we arrive to Jess's house, Ashton helps me carry my luggage to my room and sets it down.

"Thanks Ashton!"

"No problem Misty!"

We were left in silence while Jess fixes up some dinner. Ash finally breaks the silence and asks me a question.

"So , Misty. Have you been keeping in contact with Calum lately?"

I swallow the bile raising in my throat.

"No not really it's been 3 years Ashton. I've sort of been trying to avoid him because you know..."

My thoughts trail on so I stop and look down playing with my fingers.

"You know he regretted breaking up with you, Misty. you know that right?"

I shook my head and sat on the bed beside him.

"I don't know Ashton maybe he wanted to on purpose and that he's telling you this just because."

"Well, I just wanted to tell you that he misses you alot. like so much it hurts me Michael and Luke as well."

Ashton stands up and looks me in the eyes.

"What are you trying to say, Ash?"

I raise my eyebrow at him.

"I'm saying that you should give him another chance maybe?"
He smiles a little but it fades instantly.

"Ash...it's been 3 years since we've talked. I don't think he feels the same way anymore." I stand up and face him.

"And plus he's got a girlfriend already. He probably forgot about me." I walk out of the room trying to end the conversation but Ashton's words stop me.

"I know he does, Misty."

"But he's not happy. you should see him right now."

Ashton walks in front of me stopping me again.

"He's been a mess for 3 years. Every time he's with his girlfriend he doesn't have the same spark in his eyes as he did with you. He only has her because he thinks that she will stop his pain and make him forget about you. He doesn't love her."

"Why should I believe you Ashton?"

"Trust me I know." He says holding onto my shoulders.

I give a sigh.

"I'll think about it but I'm tired ashton."

He nods and walks to the dining room where the food is set on the glass table.
