we checked in and walked to my dads room, he got moved from the ICU in to a normal room. My dad was sitting up and acting normal. I feel bad for not visiting him more but hospitals scare me.

"I'm doing better, My doctor said that I should be ready to leave in about a week"

"can you hand me my wallet, it's over there on the table"

my dad hands me 5 $20 dollar bills and says
"your moms birthday is in a couple of days and I can't take her out for dinner or get her a gift, so can you go get her a really nice gift from the both of us?"
"of course! I already have in mind what I'm going to get her!"
"okay well, visiting hours are about to end so you two best be going."
"Emmie, one more thing?"
"yeah?"
"are you and Randy dating?"
Randy hugs me and kisses me on the head and answers for the both of us and says "yes"
