Chapter Thirteen

Niall pov:

-niall is now 18-

"Zayn you okay?"

Zayn was breathing in through his nose and out through his mouth.

"Yeah I'm just... nervous to tell your mum. What if she tells me to get out. I know what I said but I want her to accept me and I want her to accept us Ni. I want to have her word ya know"

Niall giggled

"It's not like we are getting married Zayn. Just relax. Even if she does overreact I will calm her down"

"Niall... I'm ready"

Me and Zayn walked into my house and as soon as we entered my mum called out

"NIALL! Is that you honey?"

"YES MUM!" I replied

She walked into the lounge where we were and saw Zayn

"Oh hi Zayn. Haven't seen you in a while"

"Yeah sorry I didn't show up more"

"Do you guys want a coffee or tea?"

"Yes please mum"

"Yes please ma'am" Zayn said

"Oh please just call me Maura" the mother replied

She walked into the kitchen and made the hot drinks. Me and Zayn were left there alone.

"Niall are you out as gay?"

"Yeah she knows"

"Okay... how are we going to tell her?"

"Zayn don't worry. I will tell her when she brings the drinks"

"Niall I'm scared"

Niall giggled

"Zaynie stop freaking out. It will be fine"

Zayn kissed Niall on the lips and then they continued to sit there

"Okay here is your guys drinks. Careful because they are hot" Maura said

"Thank you mum"

"Thank you Maura"

We all just sat there for a few seconds silent but then I knew I had to tell her

"Mum I have to tell you something"

"Honey if it's that you two are dating I already know. I'm not phased really"

Niall giggled but Zayn did a nervous giggle

"Well that is true mum but that is not all I need to tell you but you have to promise me you won't freak out okay?

"Niall your scaring me" she replied

"Just promise mum"

"Okay" she responded

"So when you first met Zayn we said he was my friend"

"Yes...." Maura replied

Zayn held onto my hand and I could tell he knew what I was going to say next

"Well... Zayn is my teacher my ar..."

"Wait WHAT?!"

"Mum you promised..."

"How old are you?" She said to Zayn

"Uh... 24" Zayn became quite scared

"Mum... listen"

Maura calmed down

"Me and Zayn have been dating these past few weeks and yes he is my teacher and yes he is 24 but mum we care about each other so much"

"A few weeks? So you guys were dating when you were underaged?"

Niall regretted what he said

"Mum that's not the point. I love him and he loves me"

Maura breathed in trying to stay calm

"Niall this is very serious ya know. He could get fired"

"Mum I'm dropping out in a few weeks, just like I planned at the start of the year and then everything will be fine."

"I'm sorry Hun but this is just unrealistic"

"Ma'am... Maura... please just allow me to say something" Zayn spoke up

Maura looked directly at Zayn confused

"I know this seems crazy and weird. Niall is young and I'm fairly older and yes I'm even his teacher but I can't explain how I feel about Niall. He means so much to me. I love him and I promised him that even if you didn't agree with him and me that I would still be here for him because I'm sorry but... I can't leave my Ni. He means the world to me and... I love him. Please just give us a chance"

Maura was in disbelief. I was scared as I thought she was gonna flip. I didn't know how she would deal with this situation

"Zayn... Niall... fine. I'm going to allow this"

"Oh my god thank you mum"

I got up to hug her

"Now Zayn... if you hurt my Ni. You will be in a world of pain you hear?"

Zayn and Niall giggled

"Yes Maura"

Zayn went over and hugged Maura himself

"Now... I have to meet a friend for a coffee so you two have fun and don't get up to much trouble okay?"

"Okay mum love"

"Love you to... cya Zayn"

"Cya" he replied

Maura left and Zayn and Niall were left alone.

"Well that freaked the shit out of me" I said

"What? You said it was going to be fine and it was?"

"I know but I actually really didn't know Zayn. When she started disagreeing I almost lost hope. I was actually scared"

"Oh my god when I spoke up I was so scared. I thought she was going to slap me right there."

Niall laughed

"She's not that type of person Zayn"

"Yeah I know" he replied

Zayn then kissed me and we started making out. It was amazing and I thought we were heading towards ya know... sex but then there was a knock on the door.

"I'll get it" I said

I ran over to the door to answer and I couldn't believe who it was.
