When it was time to sleep, Caesar immediately went straight to the nest.

I bid goodbye to my family as they head back to my former home and saw Blue Eyes furiously sharpening his spear he used in hunting.

I walked over to him and sat down. We didn't say anything for a few seconds until Blue Eyes pulled himself away from his task.

"Mother, if you planned of making me talk to father..."

I shook my head and made him face me. I gave him a smile

"I am not here to force you and your father to get together. I just want you to know that I'll always be there for you and so does your father. We both love you and Cornelius, Blue Eyes. We just want you to make the right decision"

With that, I left him to his thoughts.

Caesar and I lay at our nest, unable to sleep.

"You shouldn't be hard on him"

He looked at me in confusion. I looked at him with a small frown and signed "Blue Eyes I mean, you shouldn't be hard on our son" Caesar gruffed.

"He never listens, he always never listens.."

"Then listen to him. You're his father, he's still growing Caesar. I don't want you two to hate each other"

Caesar frowned and looked at me. I hooted softly "I also don't want to fight both of you. Not after I recovered" Caesar didn't say anything but placed a small kiss on my lips.

I smiled an snuggled onto his chest.

Dreaming that Blue Eyes and Caesar would finally see eye to eye.

Today was the last day the humans would finally finish the dam and leave us alone.

I waved goodbye at Caesar as he rode and the apes rode off. Cornelius tried to imitate my waving but ended up dangling in my arms from his huge waving.

"You wave too much" I placed small kisses on my little one's chest and he squealed and squirmed.

I retreated back to my nest and waited for Blue Eyes and Caesar's return from their work at the dam.

Some time later, I heard footsteps coming into my alcove and I looked up and saw my father.

It has been so long since we actually talked as father and daughter.

"Father..."

"My daughter...my grandson"

Cornelius cooed and "waved" at father while I pressed my forehead to his.

"What bring you here?"

"Can't an old ape visit his daughter?"

I chuckled as Cornelius bounced on my father's lap. He looked at me and asked "Kira, what do you feel when you are with humans?"

That question caught me off guard. Usually its mother who always asks that question not father.

I must get my ears cleaned.

"Kira, I am waiting"

I bit my lip. How do I explain...

"I feel like I'm one of them, I feel like I belong with them"

I saw sadness seep into his eyes but I wasn't done yet.

"But I don't feel complete. I feel complete when I am here with the apes"

Father smiled I couldn't help but tease "were you worried I was gonna chose the humans over you and the apes?"

Father looked away and huffed "maybe I am. Mostly its your mother"

I laughed when I noticed something from the distance.

Curious, I got up and slowly went out and down into the canyon to see what was up.

Father was right behind me "what in the -" lights glowed the entire human home and I watched in wonder.

The humans, they did it.

I couldn't help but grin.
