Weekly updates. I originally posted the first chapter of this years ago, then never wrote anything else, but the story never left my brain. Then I decided that I wanted to finish it, but only if I could provide consistent updates. Now here we are! I blinked and all of a sudden claw marks appeared across the side of her face and chest. I blinked again and those marks started to drip blood, causing me to push her off of me. She let out a cry in pain, making me realize that when I pushed her, my claws were out. She grasped at her stomach and held it as blood seeped through her shirt and soaked the blanket that was under her. I quickly scrambled out of bed, grabbed a towel and pressing it against the gushing wound, attempting to stop the bleeding. The bleeding only got worse, seeping through the towel and drowning my hands and thighs in red. "Why?" she cried weakly, tears pouring down her cheeks. "You told me you wouldn't hurt me, Yuma" she cried, crumpling lifeless into my arms. I felt absolutely helpless, confused, and in a panic.
