Why do we exist? It's actually not a specific reason for the entirety of the human race. Each person has their own specific, and complicated reason for existence. Some people might be to provide for a family, invent things, help people, etc. Not everyone is going to "change the world", but everybody will make a difference.
The ones who raise a family seem as if they are eating, cleaning, working, sleeping; repeat, until they die. This is actually a false perception. Those people that they're raising will grow up and become amazing people and do fabulous things. You motivate them to follow their dreams, become good people, and make a difference. Those people are just like you.
One of those people that you raised could grow up and help people. Well... they really don't have to "grow up", depending on how they help people. Some of them could stay up all night talking people out of killing or harming themselves, as young as the age of 11 or 12. They could be saving lives, solving personal problems, ending social wars, mending relationships, curing sadness, making these amazing differences. Selfless people like that usually go unnoticed by the public, but with out them where would most of us be?
That person who they encouraged and/or prevented from killing themselves could become an inventor or a world leader, maybe even a scientist. They could invent things that will make daily life easier. Or they could become a world leader, fixing worldwide problems and making the world a better place. They could become a scientist and cure disease. All because of motivation.
All it takes is a little motivation and encouragement to make a difference. It may seem small at first, but it's the biggest thing that you could possibly do. Motivation causes a chain impact on the people around you. You encouraged your friend to talk this person out of suicide. That person your friend helped went out to do great things. Just because you had hope, your motivation doesn't truly go unnoticed. It's actually quite a contagious thing. No matter how small the act, it will indeed have a large impact.
