You sat in one of the alcoves that lined the walls of the club watching the drunken flailing of those who looked similar to you in age. You sighed and hummed with the music which was an electronic remix of traditional salsa music. When the song ended you stood to find your two friends, who had dragged you to this particular club. You gave up looking when you reached where you last saw them and shook your head. A song began playing your head snapped up to meet the gaze of a smirking tan male. He walked up to you and offered his hand for a dance. You failed to notice that the crowd of people had cleared the dance floor and it was only you two. You could have sworn your friends and their exotic lovers had this planned. His smirk softened to a kind smile. You shrugged slightly and took his hand. Pulled you into the proper position to dance the salsa. You quickly thanked your mother for making you take ballroom dancing when you were younger. You two danced. Putting the other patrons to shame. Those who were not too drunk watched in awe while the others were too busy getting more drink to care. You matched him, step for step and maintained just the right amount of hip movement. Now you understood why those two wanted you to wear the form fitting flapper-esque dress that hugged you rather well. You kept your eyes on his emerald ones and smirked softly when you noticed the slight blush on his cheeks. The two of you stopped dancing just seconds before the song did and boy were you two a panting mess.

"That was amazing, especialmente con una mujer hermosa como tú." He breathed out between pants. Now you really wished that you had paid attention in Spanish class, but you do know for a fact that he did just call you a 'beautiful woman' so you blushed deeper than the color that was already there from the dancing.

"Thanks, my name is (y/n). It's nice to meet you." You two have gathered enough energy to make it to the bar.

"Antonio. Were you left by tus amigos too?" He asked after asking for two of something.

"Yes I was, how did you know?" You tilted your head slightly causing your (h/c) locks to fall in a way to make the male completely smitten with you.

"I, uh, was too." He scratched the back of his head with a slightly awkward smile and a slight blush.

"So, where did you learn how to dance like that?" You quickly changed the subject if not for his sake than for yours.

"My abuela taught me for my very distant cousin's wedding. We had to fly all the way to  Colombia for it. I was the ripe age of ten. It was a not so great idea." He laughed at the memory catching your heart in a vice like grip. "Where would you learn to dance like that?"

"Dovie's Dance Studio, I was seven. Mom wanted a cultured child. And here I am." You took a sip of the drink.

"So have you ever left New York City?" He stood a little closer only to ward off the drunks that made lecherous stares directed towards you.

"Not originally from here ( if you are could you please go with it I will make it up to you eventually) I'm from (state-or-province-or-territory)." You hummed gazing at him a tiny bit lovestruck.

"Is that so?" He chuckled slightly before being tackled by a blond mass.

"Hey Antonio I am sooooo glad you're here! The Hero needs saving!" The blond began pulling him away.

"Alfred! Let go! Let me take her home first!" His out burst made you look to your watch and dear Lord was it late. May the god of college students be on your side tomorrow. Antonio placed a hand on your waist and began leading you out of the club. "I can't believe those creeps staring at you like that..." You heard him grumble. The two of you walked the short distance to your apartment where your friends/roomies had their lovers with them on the couch watching the Notebook.

"I can't believe you two." You sighed when you opened the door and heard the familiar words from the film. "Would you like to come inside Antonio?" You innocently offered to the male who blushed before nodding and following you into your abode. He mumbled when he saw his friends with their eyes glued to the TV and both at various stages of crying.

"Apparently, our friends wanted to set us up, hermosa." He stated once he joined you in the kitchen where you were making hot chocolate for the two of you.

"Thank you for catching on so I wouldn't have to fill you in." You took a sip of your now finished beverage and sighed in content. He gently grabbed your chin to where you were completely face to face. You sat your mug on the counter as you realized that he was asking a silent question. You responded by closing the space between your lips and his. Screw going to class in the morning this was more promising a prospect.
