(y/n) was walking with Kai going to a distant relative's for Christmas, 'Yuletide Celebrations' the letter actually said, but Kai wasn't keen to explain that to them. Kai sends letters to them all the time so the relative knows to expect (y/n) to show up with their cousin. They didn't expect Kai's excited talking about each person that's going to be there and how much they're going to enjoy it. Kai made particular care to talk about the one they called, rather affectionately, Njord. (y/n)'s mind drifted to that one song by that one Italian rock band, what is it? The lyrics bounced around their head before getting an idea. 

"Kai, I wanna sing a duet." The (h/c) person whined.

"Which song?" The person's Arctic roommate squinted her eyes at them. 

 "I was thinking Touch You but in English. Maybe my person would hear me and maybe they'll respond." (y/n) nervously twiddled their thumbs.

"Why not you sing a solo? Like that Måneskin song you always jam out to?" Kai smiled gently at the nervous person.

"Which one though? Your cousins seem nice I don't want to make them uncomfortable." (y/n) bit their lip.

"Which one do you listen to and sing over and over?" Kai held a teasing tone that she only saved for their roommate.

"But your cousins-" "Jam out to that song too, quite a bit actually, none of them will admit to liking it but I think they'll enjoy it if you sing it as you do at home." Kai cut them off with a hum. 

With that settled the pair traveled in comfortable silence as they neared Kai's cousin's home.

Lukas was doing his hardest not to hum along with the person humming that damn song again. He swears that Berwald and Emil have him hearing things and it was getting to him. Tino had the blond idiot clean the piano because he heard that the guest coming over with their dear Kai could play some and he wanted to get them to play for them. A ring of the doorbell got that humming to stop causing him to sigh in relief as he sat in his room with a book in hand, his mind finally clear enough to focus on the book only to have the song It's Raining Men blast through his mind and shatter his concentration. Gods this person is never quiet. He sighed snapping his book closed and deciding to go greet Kai and the other visitor.

As he stepped onto the ground floor he noticed Matthias crowding around Kai's roommate. Oddly enough the bits from a song that sounded like one of those party songs that very obviously tell the guy to leave the girl alone was playing through his mind. With a sigh, he grabbed the idiot's shoulder and pulled back. 

"They obviously don't want you that close, idiot." Lukas hummed.

"Njord, what the hell man! They're cute! Just look at them." Matthias whined.

"Being cute isn't an invitation for harassment."

"Thank you, sir." They meekly hummed. 

He wondered if the person playing Love is an Open Door in their mind was ever as calm as this person before him. It would be amazing if they were. 

"(y/n)! Tino said you could play the piano! I want that song we discussed on the way here!" Kai tackled them. 

"Are you sure they don't mind?" "We won't, Kai tells us you're the best!" The idiot said as he also tackled them. 

"Then get off and let them play, you idiot." Lukas pulled Matthias off a second time as Kai dragged them to the piano.

"They also already know you're a good singer too so be sure to sing okay." Kai hummed sitting them down at the piano and giving their shoulder's a squeeze before stepping away and turning to the five young men seated around the room. "And now presenting the musical talents of (y/n) (l/n) and their rendition of-"

Kai was cut off by a run on the piano and Lukas's eyes widened at the first word since it matched the one in his head perfectly. (y/n) was fully lost in the music as they played the song that's been plaguing him for months perfectly in sync with the person in his mind. He was glued in place his body refusing to move only getting redder and redder as they continued playing the song. 

"And if you want to use me I could be your puppet." As they whispered this part they shot a confident wink to Lukas making him get redder if possible. 

They carried on the end of the song like they didn't just turn the stoic Njord into absolute fucking jelly purely at the moment, only to revert to the demure little roommate from before once the song ended.

"I would happily be your slave." Matthias earned a smack from the other four men with that.

"A-any requests?" (y/n) asked timidly while wringing their hands, gods those hands.

(y/n) heard the guy that the annoying one had called Njord clear his throat before shifting to stand next to them to whisper in their ear.

"Do you know how to make someone hear you twice at the same time?" He looked serious. 

"No sir, I don't." Their face reddened. 

"Hmm." he almost groaned out his mind drifting to a song that he couldn't stop from filling his mind. 

The sound of Can't Help Falling in Love filled their mind and they began playing it and singing it. They were joined surprisingly by the man still standing next to them, almost like he's singing it only to them. 

"Kai, you planned this didn't you?" Berwald hummed as he laced his fingers with Tino's more securely.

"I had my suspicions, this just confirmed them that's all." Kai sighed as she watched the loving gaze Lukas let rest in his eyes.

The next song was Blue Moon without pausing.

"I could've sworn he couldn't even look like that." Matthias gawked as he deflated with a whine. "So I don't have a chance with (y/n)."

Once they were done with their little love song exchange Tino stood and herded everyone to the dining room for a Christmas feast and teasing poor old Lukas as the man looked unabashedly enamored by his new favorite annoyance.
