I sit on my bench, in the park,
Hoping they won't see me in the dark.
I watch them kick him to the ground.
I hear his bones crack with a odd sound.
Watching his body roll into the trench,
While his pleading calls run to my bench.
A gasp escapes my wounded lips,
My body freezes from head to tips.
They're heads are turning, and so are their feet.
I've made a mistake, I feel my last heart beat.
Soon I'll join my friend in the trench,
At least as ghosts, we'll stay sitting on my bench.
