She was biting her lips, suppressing her tears from coming out. She is fuming mad at Aga. She hates it when she comes to the point that her anger turns into tears. That just only means one thing: she is mad.

He comes inside their room, carrying his suit case, his suit on his hand. He saw her sitting on the edge of their bed. He approached her and attempted to kiss her but she moved her face away.

"Bakit ngayon ka lang?" she asked in a monotonous voice.

His eyes squinted, "I stayed in the office to--"

"To what? To finish f*cking papers again? Ano, Aga? Ilang papel ang kailangan mong tapusin at ayusin, ha? Lagi na lang paperworks. Lagi na lang biglaang meeting. Lagi kang may rason." she blurted out, trying to control herself.

"What is your issue again?" he asked her.

"Issue? Do you hear yourself? May inuuwian kang pamilya, Aga. I am waiting for you every night. Lagi kang madaling araw kung umuwi. I am always waiting fo--"

"I didn't tell you to wait for me." he amswered, placing his suitcase beside his table and his suit beside it. He removed his necktie and his polo. "I have work. What do you expect?"

"I expect you to be responsible enough to go home early."

"Lea, can you not understand me? I am working. I am a busy person."

"Kaya hindi mo na kayang maging tatay sa anak mo, tama ba?"

"Don't question me on that. I am doing my best to be a good father." he answered, removed his watch.

"Today is Gale's family day. I have been trying to call you the whole day. We waited for you. Hindi mo alam kung anong naging reaksyon ng anak mo the whole day. You promised her na we will attend the family day together. Where were you?"

He gulped.

He forgot about the Family Day.

He heaved a deep sigh and sat beside her, softly took her hand, "Babes, I'm sorry. I forgot."

She didn't move, but she was already crying, "Umiiyak maghapon 'yong bata kasi she was expecting to see you. She kept on telling me na I have to call you kasi you promised. Natapos 'yong program na wala ka. That hurt me, Aga. Sinaktan mo rin 'yong bata."

He placed a kiss on her forehead and hugged her from the side, "Babes, I'm sorry. I'll talk to her tomorrow. I'm sorry."

"You don't have to apologize. Aga, sanay na ako sa'yo. Pero si Gale, hindi. If you can't be a good husband, then please, be a good father." she said and went to bed, covering herself their comforter.

He sighed and shook his head.

He didn't mean to forget about it. Heaven knows.

--

She was awakened by Aga, leaving her soft kisses on her nape. She opened her eyes and moved a bit. "I'm still sleeping, Aga."

He encircled his arm around Lea's waist, "I know, babes. That's why I'm waking you up."

She rolled her eyes and removed Aga's hand on her waist, "You have work today."

"I'm not going to work today." he answered and encircled his arms again on her waist, this time, tighter.

"Remove your hand." she told him.

But he wouldn't budge. He kissed her hair several times, "I'm sorry, babes. Please. I'll make it up to you and Gale today."

"You don't have to."

"Babes naman."

She didn't answer. She closed her eyes, ready to sleep again when Aga kissed her cheek, "Sorry na, babes."
