The trees passed by fast as we drove down the road towards school it was a little unnerving all the green around. I had come for summer here but that had been years ago when I had Jason as a friend. The thought brought a touch of pain what had caused him to become so bitter and hateful of those that were slightly different? I still had questions about this whole werewolf issue but every time I thought about it I felt little nuts but there was no denying it.

I peeked through my veil of hair at Tristan who was driving and tried to come to terms with all the crazy things that had happened since I got here.

"You're awfully quiet." He said, in his deep husky voice.

"Just thinking." I replied quickly, hoping hehadn't  caught me looking at him.

"Well what about?" he asked curiously.

"Well....I just have a lot of questions like, why didn't Alexander change when Jason did? Why were they even fighting? And since when did 'half-bloods' take an interest in living here?"

"I can't help you much with Zander's business, that's for him to tell you, but I can tell you that us 'half-bloods' have been going through the change and there's nowhere else for us to go, except to where it all started. It only happens when the tribe is in danger and apparently it is. The question is, from what? That again I cannot answer only Zander and the older wolves know, that includes Jason." He finished just as we entered a parking spot, leaving me with more questions than answers.

"Come on, I'll take you to the office."

I looked around me and noticed the school was definitely bigger than what it had been, when I had visited. I looked at other students and noticed the glances and side looks. I picked up my pace, trying to catch up to Tristan, who had begun to make his way to the entrance of the building.

"Aiya, Hurry up." he said in a low voice.

I jogged until I was beside him then looked up.

"So is it just me that found out about this whole were-issue." I quickly corrected.

Tristan looked down at me and chuckled, "Pretty much, so you can say it in public but not off the reservation or outsiders. Just be careful who's around when you talk about it." He added after realizing I couldn't tell the difference between the two.

Before I realized it we were standing in front of a brown oak door with label screwed on to the top saying "Main Office" Tristan gave me a gentle push towards the secretary who had clearly invested all her concentration on talking to someone on the phone.

I waved my hand and caught her attention, she smiled before writing something on a notepad then handing it to me,

. "New student?" It asked.

I simply nodded and she quickly handed me a timetable before going back to her call. I turned around to see Tris staring off into space,

"You ready?" he asked, suddenly perking up.

"Umm yeah."

"Ok I can only lead you to your locker though, I have to get to class earlier than usual. Mr. Briggs hates my guts."

He dropped me off and then gave me directions to my first class, which just all sounded like gibberish to me, before taking off to get his books. I was left alone in an environment that was alien to me, with nothing more than a map of the school which wasn't making much sense.

I emptied the books I didn't need into my locker and headed down, the now crowded hall way, to my first class of the day; AP Biology.

"12F, 12F, 12F."
