Lyndsey's POV:

I watched from my spot on the beach as Ana taught everyone. Taking a long sip of crappy beer, I leaned back in the relaxing beach chair. Ana was having a tough time teaching poor Randy how to grab his footing. "Come on Randy! Stand up! Oh Jesus...." Ana covered her eyes as, once again, Randy was overwhelmed by the small wave. I couldn't hide the laugh that came to my lips. He emerged, breathless. I watched in amusement as he was smacked in the back with yet another wave. 'Ouch...'

"I can't do this!" He screamed the moment he rose from the water. I rose a brow at his outburst, but was unable to judge. He was obviously frustrated with himself. Randy grabbed his board and headed towards me.

"Awe, come back Randy!" Emalie called after him. Randy waved his hand in the air, signaling that he just couldn't take any more beatings from mother nature. My eyes followed him as he slammed the board in the sand next to me. He grabbed a cold beer from the cooler and plopped down next to me, a defeated sigh escaping his lips.

"Tough?" I asked, my eyes trained on the group in the water once again. Randy let out an irritated burst.

"I'll say..." He sighed, trying to take the top part of his wetsuit off. "These things are so uncomfortable!" I smiled while watching the overwhelmed boy struggle. I rolled my eyes after what felt like ten minutes go by. Leaning over, I unzipped the back of it. "Thanks..." He breathed out, relieved to be free.

"Anytime." I smiled, tilting my beer towards him. We sat there for a while, enjoying the peace that the beach had to offer. My eyes couldn't help but stare at the brunette that remained in the ocean. A frown grew upon my lips as I watched the three of them sharing a laugh between themselves. But what was frustrating me wasn't the fact that they were laughing, it was due to the fact it was with Ana. It was also because I didn't like what this situation was doing to me. My moods were all over the place. This day wasn't making anything better either. I felt like I was crossing the line with Valerie... on so many levels. I knew these feelings I was having was wrong. Emalie had come all this way to be with me, and I was stabbing her in the back. Here I am, this ungrateful bitch who had a beautiful girl willing to change her entire life just to be with me.... but... my heart was calling for someone else. I frowned, slouching in the chair now. I knew it was crazy, but I couldn't stop how I was feeling. Being around Valerie... it was as if we had this deep connection that made no sense... but was pushing us together. It was over whelming.

"So..." Randy's voice broke through my thoughts. I looked over to him, but his eyes were elsewhere. "Do you know how much I care for Val?" He asked out of the blue. I was shocked by his words, mainly because I what I was just thinking about a few moments ago. Had he heard me?

"Obviously I know," I answered, sarcasm laced heavily in my voice. "Why did you ask me that?" He looked over to me with a small smile on his face.

"I'm just curious..." He started, taking a drink of his beer, "Why the two of you haven't gotten together yet." He spoke so nonchalantly. My brows connected as I gave him my full attention. "Don't give me that look. She's starting to like that girl," He said, motioning towards Ana. "Here you are, watching it happen."

"What do you know?" I asked, anger rippling through me now. Randy clicked his tongue on the roof of his mouth, digging his feet into the sand as if that would distract me.
