"I'm talking to you!" The boy shouted, his voice shaking as he noticed the large dog growling at her side. His eyes then shifted to the girl with long, brown, curly hair. Her olive skin was glistening from the evening sky, seeming to define her body. But the one thing that stood out was her emerald eyes. The sharpest and most full of colour he had ever seen, but fiery and full of life all the same. They were something he couldn't shake. He snapped out of his trance and returned to the matter at hand, "Who the hell are you? Why are you here? Who sent you?"

Bronwyn had finally recovered from the shock of seeing the fair haired boy and took a more confident stance. "I'm B-" she stopped. Bronwyn didn't know who the boy was. She didn't know where he was from. She didn't know if she sent him.
"-Wyn. My name is Wyn and why the hell would someone send me?" She began then to scan the boy's features; tall and his features quite defined. Toned body and squared jaw. She stared intently at his blue eyes which seemed almost familiar.

Almost.

For a slight moment, Wyn saw fear on his features, but it faded quickly into this confident, nonchalant smirk. He brushed off her question, "It doesn't matter. But you can't stay here." The boy began to walk away from Bronwyn, a small spring in his step as he did so. "Adios! Au revior! Auf Wiedersehen! Slán! Whatever language you speak," he turned in her direction, his eyes narrowed and a suddenly cold and serious tone, "Goodbye."

Wyn marched after the boy, arms folded and Shard by her side, "What gave you the idea that I'm leaving?" She questioned; Wyn was testing the waters, she was seeing how far she could push him to get what she wanted: the campsite.

He furrowed his eyebrows in annoyance, knowing exactly what this 'Wyn' girl was doing, as he had been known to do the same thing.
"Look," he began, "I don't like people and I certainly don't like you, along with your- creature."

Bronwyn was now quite infuriated with the boy; she had given away her identity (sort of), made it clear what she wanted and he would not budge. "I have had my fair share of shit recently and all I want is a damn place to stay! Is that so much to ask?" She was huffing loudly at this point, her animalistic instincts taking over.

The boy looked at her, pondering her question, "Yeah. I guess it is." His tone sharp and sarcastic.

"I've told you who I am! I've listened to you insult us! I've sat here while you accused me of following you and barely questioned it! It's my turn to ask the questions! Who the fuck even are you, and why are you acting so damn high and mighty?" Wyn was seething with rage at his nonchalance and don't-care-attitude at this whole situation. What gave him the right to question her actions? Yes, it was strange having a teenage girl and her dog run panting into a seemingly abandoned campsite, but stranger still when there was a boy of around the same age hiding out there already!

"Okay, some decent points were made there, they were few, but there all the same." He smirked, attempting to rile her up again, but she did not take the bait. Sighing, he continued, "My name is Quinn -"

'Quinn? Quinn. Interesting name. But is it real? I didn't give him mine, he may have not given me his. He's hiding something, I know it. Something big.'

"- and I'm acting so 'damn high and mighty' because, if I haven't stressed it enough, don't like people."

"Okay, but does that mean I can stay?" Wyn questioned. He wasn't making much sense, she knew Quinn didn't like people, but he was avoiding the one piece of information she needed.

"Yes, you can stay. But I swear to god, if you piss me off, I will kill you. Don't think I'll hesitate." This may have been an empty threat, but Wyn had a strange feeling he was completely serious.

She nodded her head and she and Shard stalked off to find a place to nap. As they walked, Wyn took mental notes of the area, in case she needed to leave. In case she found her.

'Okay, so tall trees. Good cover and could use the uneven terrain for escape. Decent sized campsite, although it is barren so I'll be easily spotted. Dark. Quite dark even though it's only around three in the afternoon. That's a plus. Dirt. Everywhere. Not a big fan, but I'll deal with it I guess.'

Wyn's eyes moved to the Quinn's tent. 'And there's already someone here. Could I use him as a decoy or...? Nah, too risky. Enough people have gotten hurt trying to help me.'

She sat down her sleeping bag and rucksack, before quickly snuggling inside for a nap, one arm around Shard, the other under her head. But just as she was drifting off, a memory resurfaced. 'Enough people have gotten hurt trying to help me...'

"Bronwyn, eh? That's a very pretty name." The woman smiled, her hand entangled with... her friend? "Sweetheart, my name is Liza -" she pointed to herself, before motioning to the other woman, "- and this is my partner Arielle."

"Partner? As in girlfriend?" The words streamed out of Bronwyn before she even realised what she had said.

Liza chuckled, "Yes, Bronwyn. As in girlfriend. There's nothing wrong with a girl loving a girl, the way that there is nothing wrong with a boy loving a boy."

Bronwyn frowned. "My Mama said it was wrong and a sin. I didn't really understand why."

"Your Mama -" began Arielle, "Is one of the simple minded folk that still believe in the old ways. That it is sinful. But it isn't, love is love, my dear."

"Well, I love Shard. Is that a sin?" Asked Bronwyn. She was genuinely curious now.

"No sweetie, it isn't," Said Arielle softly. "Now do you want to tell me and Liza here why you're out so late?"

Something grabbed Bronwyn's shoulder, and her eyelids opened to see Quinn kneeling over her. "Wyn! Wyn! Get up! We need to go! They're here! They're all here!" He half shouted, half whispered.

How did they find her so fast?
