Chapter 1

~Emily's POV~
"Zero!" I yelled at my friend Ashley laughing as she threw the ball in the gutter. She just rolled her eyes at me while RC just laughed. "You think you can do better?" She joked. "Can't, the game is over and I already beat both of you." RC rolled his eyes at me.
"Em, I'm never playing against you again." He said laughing. Good lord, every time he laughed or smiled or just seemed happy I got butterflies in my stomach. Emily stop it you're not supposed to feel that way you're best friends I reminded myself.
"Hey, I have to leave to take care of a few things at home. Call me later okay?" Ashley said before hugging me and RC goodbye. Don't get jealous they are just hugging I kept repeating to myself inside.
"Em, I wanted to ask instead of me taking you home now do you want to come over if you're not busy?" RC asked just adding to my nervous feeling I couldn't explain.
"Me busy? RC are you kidding I basically live at your house." We laughed.
Both of us walked out together and like he normally does reached to hold my hand. I got this rush of adrenaline but I ignored it like always. It made me wonder if I'm getting sick I've been like this for the past few months but I tried not to think to much about it.
When we got in the car he turned the radio on which was playing Michael Jackson's Thriller. We playfully sang and danced all the way to his house.
"We are so dramatic!" I said with tears in my eyes from us laughing so much.
"Has anyone ever told you that you can really sing?" RC added.
"Ashley tries to but I really don't think I can. Besides that I was just playing with you."
"Well if that is your playing voice your actual voice must be breathe taking." RC said trying not to laugh.
I just rolled my eyes at him.
"Whatever, you would say that." We laughed and I couldn't stop smiling before we went in through the gate to the front door of the house. Making me question once again. Is this feeling normal?
