It has been approximately 40 days since Rachel went on vacation to LA with her parents and for every single one of them Ethan stayed up all night, wondering if she was cheating on him. It bothered him every day, even if she told him that she would never do that, the anxiety continued to rule his life. What if she found someone else? What if someone hit on her? What if she never loved him to begin with? This continued for another sleepless night until the underlying thought sprung up.
'She's out of my league.' Ethan thought to himself before throwing a glass of water angrily before looking at himself in the mirror. Here he was a desperate man, getting angry at a thought that couldn't even be true. This desperation, this anger, this fear. That is what made him who he was. She wasn't out of his league, he wasn't even in a league to start with.
