It doesn't take long for Simon to realise that JJ is cheating on him. Instead of yelling at him or causing a scene, Simon goes behind JJ's back, searches through the clues around their apartment, and finds out who JJ's been cheating on him with.
The other guy's name is Vik, and Vik is just as angry at JJ. So Simon and Vik become friends, plan their attack, trash JJ's stuff and become best friends. The experience brings them closer together, so yeah, they start dating. And yeah, they rub it in JJ's face.
