Chapter 8

It felt good to get those feelings for Ashton out. Until I saw Skai by the stairs staring at us with a smile. Ashton whispers to me "meet me in my room at 1:02am." before he walks off. Well that wasn't weird.

Skai drags me upstairs and throws me on my bed. "tell me! Tell me! Tell me!" she repeats. The others are confused and so Skai tells them "Ashton and Hope kissed." and I go in my own little world just thinking about Ashton.

They crowded around me and I told them the story. Soon it was 12:30am and we all decided to stay and skip school. I heard Ashton yell goodnight to Luke and the girls beside me were sleeping. I play on my phone until it's 1:00 and I get ready and stand at the door 1:01. I decide to leave and go to his room.

"Ashton?" I whisper so he could hear me but I wouldn't wake the others up. "Hope" he says as start to walk in. "shut the door" I do as I'm told and after that he lights a candle on the table beside the bed. He motions me over to sit on the bed so do.

"what was with the 1:02 thing? Why couldn't it be 1:00?" I ask confused. "Two is my favorite number and also my lucky number" he responds And I nod my head. "The reason I wanted you to come here was to talk to you. I'm sorry I kissed you but-" I cut him off "its not your fault I leaned in also and it takes four lips or two mouths to kiss so it's half my fault also." I say and he nods. "but I really do like you and not just the like way I mean the like like way Hope." he says and I nod and say "I like you the same way you like me then".

His eyes light up at that. "I was thinking that this might not work between us but if it does then we have to hide it from my brother. And not let him find out." "I agree" he says. "The only problem is that he's always around you and when he isn't you are always around your friends." He says. "I know but we could make it work" I say and he agrees.

"Then it's settled. We'll be together but hide it from your brother." And I nod saying I agree before getting more comfortable and we both start to lean in and soon my lips touch his again. Oh this boy could get Me in trouble with my brother.

We break the kiss because we needed air. All you could hear were our breaths trying to get air. I look over at the clock and realize that it's only 2:00am and we have till 5:30 because that's when my brother always gets up for school but we are skipping and I doubt he changed his alarm.

I lay down to get comfortable and before I know it I fall asleep with a kiss on my forehead by the one and only Ashton Grant. What feels like only minutes turns out to be hours when I get carried to my bed.

I wake up at 7:00 and notice the girls are up and Ashton and Luke are in his room I can tell from the music playing. And I recognize the song from somewhere but can't remember it. "Hey girls." Luke comes in saying. "will you make breakfast Hope?" Luke asks also. "ugh fine" "yay!" he runs out of the room and then bumps into Ashton and they both fall to the ground.

"oww!" Ashton says as he is under Luke. "watch where your going Ashton." Luke says sassily. "well what were you doing prancing around like a little pony outside of Hope's door?" Ashton asks "she said she'll make breakfast and her food is the best!" Luke replied and we all burst out laughing before I go to get Luke off of Ashton.

"C'mon Luke." I say as I pull him off Ashton. "noo" he whines. "do ya want my food?" I ask and he jumps up and runs down the stairs and into a wall because he wasn't paying attention. We all laugh at the 'thud' he made before I helped Ashton up.

We all go down but when I get in the kitchen I see Luke sitting like a business person with his hands folded on the table. "like you could ever be professional Luke" I say as I get ready to make pancakes. He just sits there.

I make the food then I put it on their plates and I sit to eat also. After eating we go to watch TV in the living room. "Skai, Lindsay, and Jasmine could you help me real quick?" Luke says before they nod and get up to go in my room which leaves me and Ashton alone.

"ready for tonight?" we ask at the same time. "yeah" we both say. We continue chatting and laughing at all the pranks Luke and I pulled on eachother and on others. Luke comes down and sits on the couch smirking. I hear my name being called so I get up and go to my room.

When I reach my room I see the girls playing with snakes. Oh no. No no no no no no! I hate snakes I'm scared to death of them. I run out of the room screaming and go to the kitchen and jump on the counter so I'm not on the floor. Luke just laughs as he walks up to the room full if snakes.

"I'm not going up in my room. Not even to sleep." I say as Ashton continues to comfort me. Luke comes down and sits on the couch with the girls behind him. Ashton goes go sit on the loveseat and I don't let go. I don't care if Luke finds out right now I'm to terrified to be by my brother or the girls. I sit by Ashton as Luke plays a movie that I don't know what it was called.

"Hope why are you sitting by Ashton and not me or the girls?" Luke says. "because I'm terrified." I respond. "of what snakes or us?" he asks. "umm lets see. Snakes obviously and you a little bit now too." I reply. "well get used to snakes sweety." he says. "why?" I ask cautious. "mom and dad said I could get a snake. So I am." he says. "I swear if you have the snake within 20 feet of me I will not talk to you I will not make food and I will do things that you would hate."
