(alarm clock goes off, hand goes on top of it to stop it)
AIDAN: (yawns, puts on glasses, gets out of bed) What time is it? (looks at clock while scratching head) 9:04!? I'm going to be late to school!
BEATRICE: (from kitchen, on phone with friend) It's so crazy with kids these days! They get ready for school so fast I don't even see them coming out the door anymore. (laughs)
STACEY: (other side of phone call) What makes you say that?
BEATRICE: (replies to Stacey) I DIDN'T EVEN SEE AIDAN LEAVE THE HOUSE THIS MORNING! (laughs hysterically)
AIDAN: What the fu(confused)--n times? I'm going to be so late for school.
(shows Beatrice in the kitchen talking to a friend, Aidan walks into the kitchen secretly)
BEATRICE: (sees Aidan) One second, Stacey. (puts phone on shoulder) Aidan! I thought you were gone already.
AIDAN: It's 10:30 day at school.
BEATRICE: So school starts later today?
AIDAN: Yeah, bye!
BEATRICE: Ok then. (gets back on call with Stacey) I'm back, Stacey.
