Thanks for stumbling upon my book. It means you love reading just like me. (high-five)
- I will appreciate constructive criticism but anything demeaning, hateful & insulting will not be accepted.
- I am not good at lengthy description. But, I do try.
- Its not a fanfiction.
- Last, but not least I would love if you check out my other book too ( Deadly Reflection).
- This story is based in India.
- The male and female protagonist are in their early twenties. I guess thats enough for now.
- So, what are you waiting for? Start reading and keep turning the pages.
P.S - Its unedited version. I will edit it properly after completing the book.

Saira's POV:-
"Zaid...Are you giving me remote or not? I am asking you for the last time." I warned my younger brother, who haven't moved an inch, from the sofa he was lying on since last two hours and probably wasn't even bothered that I was shouting at top of my lungs.
Hey....its me Saira. Please don't judge me by my behavior with my brother. We both are like this only. He is two years younger than me, and in tenth grade. I can't remember a day, when we don't fight with each other. But honestly, I love him to bits. Often our mother thinks that we will actually end up killing each other whenever she witnesses us fighting. Can't blame her. Right now, I am yelling at him because I have to watch my favorite show "Grey's anatomy"...but he have to watch WWE. He is kind of obsessed about that show. God only knows how can someone watch something like that.
I knew I wasn't going to win, as his show aired only twice a week. I thought I could afford missing one episode, although I wasn't happy about it. I sighed, and walked towards the sofa he was lying on, with his legs stretched in front of him, crossed together at ankles.
"Just for today." I said with gritted teeth before grabbing the cushion and throwing it at his face. Of course, it missed his face, instead hit his hand. The remote fell down from his hand on floor. He sprang up, sat straighter and narrowed his eyes at me.

"What? You asked for it.." I scoffed in sing song voice, smiling mischievously.
"Really? Wait till you sit here watching your crappy, emotional dramas.." He said before leaning down to pick up remote.
"At least, they are non - violent, unlike yours." I retorted poking my tongue out at him before walking towards my bedroom.

I was scrolling through my instagram feed when my best friend Uzma's message popped up on display.
Uzma- "Hiii...just got the news. Our results are coming out tomorrow. I don't think I am going to survive till tomorrow morning. Tell my parents that I loved them, although I don't express it. And, last but not least.. Miss me."
I rolled my eyes as I finished reading her text. Trust my bestie to be over dramatic. She is really good in exaggerating small things. But I won't, I mean..never ever trade her for anyone else.

Basically, we met each other two years back in a class, which we both have joined to prepare for medical entrance.
"Relax. You will get through it." I replied back.
My phone buzzed, again.
Uzma- "Tell same thing to my parents. Anyway, thanks. You always know how to calm me. So, we are meeting tomorrow...right?"
"Yes. Tomorrow it is. Good night." I typed before sending it.

"Zaid....Saira...dinner is ready." Ammi's soft voice reached my ears. I looked at time on my phone. Nine- thirty. Our usual dinner time. I got up from my bed, plugged my phone for charging, before walking out.
*******
Ammi was arranging plates on the table. If I say that she is world's best mother, that wouldn't be wrong. Single handedly, she is raising me and my brother after tragic death of my father, five years ago.
Zaid was already sitting on the dinning chair, his face turned towards tv. My mother hates that habit of him. She says that its like, we are not respecting food. Well, I too think that.
So, that is basically our family of three. Earlier it was four, including my father. Not a single day goes when I don't miss him. Well, daughters are always more closer to their father...thats fact.
******
After finishing dinner, I went back to my room. I grabbed my phone, opened the browser and quickly searched to see if by any miracle, our result had been postponed. But to my dismay, it clearly displayed that results were going to be out next morning at nine.
I know, that I myself had told Uzma not to worry, but this was something I couldn't help myself with. This sole exam was going to decide my future.
******
Don't know when I dozed off. In morning, my eyes opened as I heard someone's loud familiar voice approaching my room. I rolled to opposite side on the bed and grabbed another pillow and pressed it on my ears.
Did it helped?
No...because the voice grew more louder and so the footsteps.
