A walk

The next morning Zelda woke up tired from the night before. She had slept in since she was out of the house at 2 in the morning. She saw Link's sweater on the her chair and she snuggled it. It was about 9am when Zelda checked her phone. It was a text..

Hey Zelda wanna walk around town today?

Don't reply you idiot Zelda thought.

Sure why not

You messed up. Zelda thought

Cool.. I'm kind of lonely Malon and my mom are out of town..

Oh I see. Anyway what time do you want to hangout?

12:30ish

Wait is it Saturday?

Yeah

Perfect

I'll pick you up in three hours

Zelda slightly squealed. She got up and showered before going downstairs to breakfast.

"Good morning mom," Zelda happily said.

"Good morning Zelda. Why so happy?" Zelda's mother laughed..

"No reason.. anyway is it cool if I go out into town today?"

"Of course. You're seventeen why do you have to ask?"

"No reason.."

"Alright, finish eating,"

Zelda finished her meal and went upstairs to her room and got dressed and did her hair and makeup..

           Three hours later..

There was a knock on the door..

Zelda's mom sighed and opened the door expecting Midna.

"Hello," Link said.

"Link is that you? Wow you've really grown up," Zelda's mother said.

Link smiled.

"Oh um come in.." Zelda's mother said.

Zelda came downstairs dressed in a skirt and a nice top.

"Hello Link," Zelda said.

"Hello Zelda," Link replied.

"Bye mom," Zelda said.

"Bye Zelda," Zelda's mom said.

Zelda walked out the door with Link. It felt awkward walking next to Link after the events the night before.

"So umm how have you been?" Zelda said trying to spark a conversation.

Link shrugged his shoulders "pretty okay,"

"Okay? What's wrong?"

"I don't know, I feel different,"

"How so?"

"For some reason,Malon and I are having issues, but it's okay each relationship has them.. I'm still in love with her.."

"Oh,"

"Zelda is everything alright?" Link asked.

"I'm fine Link," Zelda awkwardly laughed.

"Okay then..." Link said "how are you?"

"I'm okay too," Zelda said.

"Zelda what's wrong?"

"Oh it's nothing.. it's just ridiculous.."

"Nothing you say is ridiculous to me, you can tell me,"

Zelda sighed "well.. it's just a boy,"

"A boy.. keep going,"

"I've known him for a while, he's amazing and he's so cute,"

"Oh I see,"

"I don't think he likes me, it's just stupid,"Zelda laughed.

"Oh well good luck," Link said.

"I'm going to need it,"

It was late when Link and Zelda approached the other side of town where boys from the high school across town kept hitting on Zelda.

"She's cute," one whispered.

"Yeah she is," the other one replied.

They cat called Zelda as she walked down the street. Zelda felt Link's hand over hers.

"Link what are you doing?" Zelda whispered.

"Play along,"Link said.

They walked further and the cat calls seemed to get louder.

"You're going to hate me after this..." Link said.

"After what?" Zelda asked.

The cat callers lost interest in Zelda when they saw Link kissing Zelda's cheek.

"What was that all about?" Zelda asked.

"It was just a way of getting cat callers to stop," Link said.

"Okay then um I think we should get going.."Zelda said.

"Yeah it's getting late.." Link said "I'll take you home,"

Link walked Zelda all the way home.

"Thank you for today it was fun.." Zelda said awkwardly.

"Yeah it was fun," Link said.

"I'll talk to you later.."

"Okay bye,"

"Goodbye,"

Zelda ran into her house and closed the door and ran up to her room.She screamed into a pillow.
