[Gia's POV]
I woke up early since it's the first day of school. Grabe, excited na ako! I have mixed emotions. Not only, excited but I also feel nervous, worry and ... scared. Kinakabahan ako dahil sa iba't ibang tao na makakasalamuha ko. Pati na rin yung mga teachers dito.
Please Lord! Sana hindi sila strict....
5 o' clock pa lang, gumising na ako kahit 7 o'clock pa ako ihahatid ni mama sa school. Pasensiya naman ha, medyo excited ang lola niyo eh!
Naligo at nagbihis na ako ng uniform ko. Nakaka-conscious naman 'tong uniform ko. Medyo maiksi kasi yung palda, hanggang tuhod lang?! Well, ayoko ng uniform namin. Gusto ko yung malapit na sa paa yung palda. Medyo manang ba ang dating ko?
Aha! Alam ko na, magsusuot na lang ako ng knee socks. I grab my white knee socks from my drawer and pull it up to my knee. There you have it, a pretty nerd..... Joke.
Well, okay naman yung blouse. Color blue with a ribbon. Sinuot ko na yung glasses ko then inipitan ko na yung buhok ko. I grab my things and go down as soon as I finished dressing up.
I saw mama, eating her breakfast.
"Hi ma! Wala pa bang pasok si Gian?" I asked her.
"Next week pa pasok niya." Mom just finished her breakfast.
"Oh sige, Ikaw na bahala sa breakfast mo. Maliligo na ako." Mom said as she go upstairs.
Since I'm excited, I just put cereals on my bowl and mixed it with milk.
Hmmm, Yummy!
After eating, hinatid na ako ni mama sa new school ko, Ang Arrowell High.
Whoa! ang daming students! My eyes searched for Michael and Chelsea since they are my new friends here in Arrowell High.
"Gia, Over here!" Chelsea called me. Nakita ko siya nakaupo sa bench kasama yung isang girl.
I walked towards them.
"Hi..." I greeted them.
"Hi Gia! Long time no see. By the way, this is Ria Fernandez... my best friend since ... I can remember" Chelsea introduced her.
"Hi Gia. Nice to meet you... Well, I guess you'll be my new friend." Inabot niya yung kamay niya sa akin, so nakipag-shake hands na rin ako. She's really friendly. Masayahin rin siguro kasi hindi nawawala yung ngiti niya sa mukha niya eh and medyo nerd rin.
Wait, parang narinig ko na yung surname niya. Lemme think..... Hmp, malamang narinig ko na yung Fernandez dahil marami namang Fernandez sa mundo eh.
"Gia, siya yung kapatid ni Angelie Fernandez... yung kwinento ko sa'yo dati." Ahh! I remembered. Pero magkaibang-magkaiba sila ni Ria. Ria is quiet and cheerful while Angelie is loud and trying hard.
"Alam niyo, punta na tayo sa bulletin board kasi marami nang tao mamaya eh," Ria said.
"Tara, tignan na natin kung saan yung mga sections and classrooms natin." Hinila na ni Chelsea yung kamay ko.
Pumunta at nakipagsiksikan kami sa mga tao doon sa tapat ng bulletin board. I found my name under section 1.
"Chelsea, section 1 ako! Kayo, ano section niyo?"
"Really, section 1 ka?! Yay! section 1 rin kami ni Ria!" Chelsea said happily.
"We're in the same section! Woohoo!" Ria cheered.
Umatras ako kasi parami na ng parami yung mga tao sa harap ng bulletin board.
