"Do you think they like each other?"

"I think he likes her."

"Well I think they both like each other."

"They're probably just friends."

"But they do so many things that couples would do together!"

"So kissing-"

You sigh in exasperation and plug in your earphones, letting the music drown out the chattering in the hallways. Apparently the whole school ships you and (C/N) - thanks to a certain student - and you're not sure why. Yeah you two hug, give each other nicknames, and share things - such as food - but some friends do those things together, not just couples. To you, the whole shipping thing is pretty stupid. You were okay with it at first but as the stares and whispers continued.. not so much anymore.

Your feet takes you to period 4 class. Trudging to your seat, you notice some students staring at you out of the corner of your eye. You decide to act as if you don't notice their stares and settle in beside the male you're being shipped with.

"Hey (Y/N).." he mumbles, glancing at you. His lips tug in a small smile as you greet him back. The two of you chat about what to do after school; he suggests going to the park with you pondering on the suggestion for a while before accepting. You overhear a group of students squealing over you two as someone tries hushing them. With pursed lips, you groan inwardly and open your mouth, quickly closing it afterwards.

"What's up?" he inquires with a raised eyebrow.

Hesitating, you say, "Just irritated with the whole shipping thing. We're just friends after all. They're acting as if friends don't do as they call "couple things" with one another."

"Oh," he mumbles with cheeks that have a pink hue to them. You detect sadness in his tone and turn to give him a quizzical look, but his eyes are focused on his desk. "Yeah.. it's getting pretty.. annoying I guess.."

"What's up?" you question, noticing (C/N) biting his bottom lip reflectively. It's a habit of his that he does whenever he's thinking about something.

Snapping out of a trance, he simply gives you a small smile and responds with a, "The sky."

You roll your eyes and smile in return. He opens his mouth to say something, but Mr. Shipper chooses to walk in which causes him to shut his mouth. Thanks Mr.Shipper..

As the day drags on, the whispering turn to teasing. You are walking to period 5 minding your own business when suddenly a group of students block your path, bombarding you with questions about (C/N).

"Did he ask you out yet?"

"You do know that he likes you, right?"

"Do you like him back?"

"QUIET!" You scowl at the students, causing the questions to die down. Regaining your composure, you slowly talk to them as if they're children. "First, he didn't ask me out. Second, I don't know. He didn't tell me how he feels about me. Third, I don't know.. do I?" Giving them a small smile, you head inside the classroom.

"Woah, what happened out there?" (C/N) gazes at your scowling face in curiosity. "Not good..?"

"Oh, everything is fine!" You huff, throwing your hands up in the air. You didn't mean to snap at them like that, but they were irritating you and that was the final straw.

"Shipping thing..?" he inquires, staring at you keenly; you can tell that he's trying to get an answer out of you. Sighing in defeat, you nod.

Just like before, he mumbles an "Oh.." and his cheeks turn pink.

"Is something wrong?" You look intently at his blushing face; he's looking elsewhere while biting his lip. "Is something wrong?" you ask again, hoping for an answer this time.

He gulps, beads of sweat crawling down the side of his face. Shutting his eyes he mumbles quickly, yet you are able to hear every word. "Ilikeyoualot."

You smile cheekily, staring at his slightly quivering form. By now, his face is vermillion which is earning some stares from classmates. "I like you too," you murmur. (C/N)'s blushing face lights up with glee as a toothy grin appears on his face.
