The only sound that can be heard is the sound of the ceiling fan. You're currently laying on your bed with your phone, reading the latest crush x reader one-shot called "Apologies". Your mouth hangs open as you sit up, "HE KISSED ME?! EEEEEEEEEEEE!!"

"(Y/N)! SHUT UP!"

You clear your throat and lay back down, grinning like an idiot. Your older brother barges into your room, startling you. Your phone drops on your face as you groan and rub your face. "What do you want?" You mutter.

"Chop, chop! I'm taking you to school today," he pulls your arm and drags you out of bed. "If you aren't ready in 5 minutes, I'm leaving without you." He walks out of your bedroom as you glare at his retreating form.

"Ugh, brothers."

"Hey (C/N)!" You greet your friend, walking beside him.

He glances at you and sends you a small smile, "Hey (Y/N)! Are you going to the school dance tonight?"

You immediately shake your head, "No, are you?" You and (C/N) have been friends for a while now and well, you may or may not have a tiny crush on him. Actually, a huge crush on him. A while ago, him and the girl he was with broke up. You're quite relieved since every time you saw them together, you wanted to curl up into a ball and sob for the whole day.

"Oh.." He mumbles, disappointment laced in his voice. "Yeah, I am. I uh.." He laughs awkwardly before continuing. "I'm hoping to see the girl I like there but.." He trails off, looking to the side.

You manage a small smile, "I see.. well, you should definitely ask her out if she does come tonight." Honestly, you feel heartbroken even though there could be a chance that his new crush is you. However, that possibility is slim to you.

(C/N) halts and turns to look at you, "See you during period 3! Mr. Shipper said something about a chill day today, so I'm excited! Yay to no work.. maybe."

You give a short laugh and wave goodbye to your friend, turning back to head to your first period. "Oof!"

A familiar laugh causes you to look up, "Hey (Guy Friend's Name)!"

He beams, bouncing up and down. "Hey, hey! Do you want to go with me to the dance tonight? As friends, of course." He smiles at you hopefully, his eyes twinkling.

"I wasn't planning on going but.." You stare at his puppy dog eyes, sighing in defeat. "Fine, fine. I guess I'll go. I didn't accept because of those puppy dog eyes by the way!" You mumble, heading off to your class. (G/F/N) follows pursuit since he has first period with you.

*ding*

You pick up your phone and roll your eyes, typing a reply.

(Y/N): I know you're in my house

(G/F/N): No I'm not

(Y/N): I heard my brother say "Hey (G/F/N)!"

(G/F/N): (｡◕‿‿◕｡)

(Y/N): (¬_¬)

(G/F/N): I'm coming up

(Y/N): I'm done, stay down there

(G/F/N): Nope, I'm here~! (づ｡◕‿‿◕｡)づ

Your bedroom door slowly creaks open. You raise an eyebrow as you slowly reach for your pillow.

*ding*

(G/F/N): Hey girl (͡° ͜ ʖ ͡°  )

(Y/N):╭∩╮(︶︿︶)╭∩╮

(G/F/N): ｡ﾟ･（>﹏<）･ﾟ｡

"How dare you stick your middle fingers up at me!" He charges full speed at you; his arms spread out getting ready to hug you. You dodge to the side and smack him with the pillow. He falls onto your bed, reaching toward the ceiling. "My life is ebbing away..." He gasps for air and then his body goes limp.

You snort, smacking him with the pillow once more before sitting on the bed. "You're so dramatic, you know that?" Leaning closer to him, you poke his cheek. "Ready to go?"

One eye opens as he sits up, pouncing on you. "You look so beautiful~!" He gushes, squeezing the life out of you. "Wait until (C/N) sees you-.. OW!" He whimpers, rubbing his cheek. "Why'd you pinch me?"

"Uhh.. listen man, if you're trying to seduce her now.. can you at least do it after the dance?"

(G/F/N) stops hugging you and smiles sheepishly, rubbing his arm nervously. "I wasn't trying to!" You scowl at your brother and chuck a pillow at him, smacking him right in the face. He smirks and picks up the pillow, throwing it right at you. However.. you duck in time and instead, the pillow hits your friend.

"Oops, my bad man." Your brother laughs, moonwalking out of your room.

"Did your brother just moonwalk-"

"Yep. He's.. something."

"COOL! I WANT TO BEFRIEND-"

"Let's go (G/F/N)."

Once you reach the school, you immediately notice that (C/N) is standing alone; he's looking at the night sky with a hand in a pocket. Your friend beside you perks up, "HI (C/N)~!" Nudging you he whispers, "I'll leave you two alone, but you better not leave me by myself in there. I don't want to eat all of the food by myself!"

He pinches your cheek and leaves as you shout, "I won't!"

(C/N) walks over to you, looking happier. "Hey (Y/N)! You came after all.. I'm glad." He scratches his head, casting his eyes to the ground. "You look.. lovely."

"Thank you! You look nice yourself.." You mumble, smiling. You actually wanted to say, "HOT DANG, YOU'RE LOOKING FINE. HOTTER THAN THE SUN." He seriously does though, with his suit and tie.

He gives a short laugh, "Thanks." A minute passes by and you shuffle your feet, feeling a bit awkward. "Uhh hey.. so you know how I told you that I have a new crush and all?"

You nod, staring at him curiously. He avoids eye contact and says, "Well.. that person is you. I've been liking you for a long time now, it's just.. I was afraid to confess. I didn't want to ruin our friendship or anything like that, hence why I went out with you know, instead. I had some feelings for her, obviously not anymore but.."

One word, stunned. You've always thought that he didn't like you since he never really did show it, or perhaps because you're clueless and never noticed. Either way, you're ecstatic to hear the news and immediately smile. "I'm glad, I like you too."

He sighs in relief and leans in, kissing you on the forehead softly. Gagging sounds follow as you two turn to look at the source. (G/F/N) sticks his tongue out, "I love being the third wheel."

You put an arm around (G/F/N) and walk inside with him, "Sorry! How many pizzas did you eat so far?"

"I ate 5 pizzas and 7 cookies already, you both took too long!" He whines as you pat his head, laughing.

"That's it?" (C/N) chuckles to himself, following you both inside.

"(C/N)! Let's see who can eat the most pizzas! I already ate 5!"

"What? But-"

"No buts! Starting.. NOW!"

"H-Hey! (G/F/N)! (Y/N), help me!"

"I'll just take my time eating the delicious food."

"(Y/N)! You're so mean!"

"Hurry up (C/N)! I already finished my sixth one!"
