Chapter 18

These past few weeks I have been feeling really sick and throwing up all the time I thought it was just a bug until I missed my period. So I thought back to me and Monty's vacation/suspension and realized we didn't use protection at all so here I am at the bakers drug store buying pregnancy tests even though I'm pretty positive I am pregnant from how many times we did it. I grab three and walk up to the counter where mrs.Baker is and hand them to her. She looks up shocked "Skylar"
"Yea I know i made a stupid decision my life is over I'm sure I'm gonna hear it many times" I tell her my eyes watering
"Skylar honey everything is fine sometimes with one night things you don't get pregnant" she says trying to be helpful
"Thanks Mrs.Baker but this was more of a 4 night 3 day thing with no protection so I'm 99% sure there's a baby growing in my stomach" I tell her handing her the money taking the bag
"Good luck"
"Thanks"
I walk out of the store and accidentally bump into someone dropping the bag having the tests fall out. The person picks it up still not looking up but when they do I freeze. It's Justin Foley, he stands there shocked looking at me "Skylar?"
"Hey Justin" I say innocently taking the tests from him
"You think your?" He starts but I don't let him finish
"Yea"
"Hey do you need somewhere to stay?" I ask noticing his bag of clothes
"No it's fine thank you though you seem like you have a lot on your plate" he says
"Well if you ever do you can come and stay with me" I tell him
"Thank you and good luck with everything" he says then starts to walk away
"Justin can you not" I start but he cuts me off smiling "don't worry I won't tell anyone" I smile back and decide to walk to Jessica to ask her how she's doing. I get there and ring the door bell. A few seconds later Jessica opens the door and looks confused since we weren't that close of friends.
"Hey I wanted to come and see how you were doing" I told her after she let me in
"I could be better but can I ask you some questions?"
"Yea go ahead"
"How did you get over it?"
"I haven't gotten over it I mean I freeze every time he is to close and I still get nightmares but Monty usually helps me. That's what I found out that if you find somebody who makes you feel safe and loved that it gets easier"
"So Monty did really save you?"
"Yea he walked in and pulled Bryce off"
"That's how you met?"
"Yea that's where our epic love story begun"
"Did you bring food?" She asks grabbing the bag opening it
"No" I try to grab it but it's to late she takes one out
"Oh my god" she says staring at me
"Yea I'm waiting for Monty's practice to be over before I tell him"
"Good luck" she said handing it back
After I left Jessica's I wanted to drop the tests off so I walk to my house then go to the school, they are in the batting cages and find him talking to Bryce. I walk up to the fence
"Monty" I say loud enough for him to hear me. He turns around and looks at me confused
"Babe how did you get here?"
"I walked had a lot to think about today"
"Is everything okay love?" He asks worried
"I need you to come over my house when practice is over"
"Babe your scaring me. Practice is over in like ten minutes just wait here I will give you a ride okay?"
"Okay" I go and sit on the bleachers.
Back with Monty and Bryce
"Bro what was that about?" Bryce asked
"I don't know but I don't like it" Monty replies scared
"Monty you know I didn't rape Jess, I wouldn't rape anyone you know me"
"Yea I do know you Bryce" he says slightly angry
Sky and Monty are driving to sky's house.
"Have you heard from your parents?" Monty asks
"Yea they are gonna be home in three days" I reply playing with my fingers
"Monty promise me you won't leave me"
"I would never leave you no matter what Sky"
We pull into my house and I drag him up into the bathroom
"What is going on?" He asks
I pull out the bag from the store and give it to him he opens it and takes one out
"Pregnancy tests?" He looks up at me
"I have been feeling sick and throwing up and at first I thought it was a bug but then I missed my period and I thought back then realized we were so caught up in each other we didn't use protection" I tell him.
"Everything will be okay just take the test and we will talk when we see the results" he tells me kissing my forehead. So I take the tests then walk out with them and put them on my vanity next to my bed where Monty is sitting. I sit next him and hold his hand.
"Has it 3 minutes yet?" I ask him
"No 1 more minute"
The minute is up and I walk over and slowly look at the results, I turn around and look at Monty.
