Sarada hardly remembered Sasuke's face.

It was such a vague memory inside her mind, but it was understandable as she was only a small child when he left the village. In spite of the fragmented memory of her father, she could reminisce a special memory - Sasuke and Sakura guiding her as she took her first little steps, her right hand firmly grasped around her mother's while the other was latched around her father's larger ones. It was something that always magically appeared in her mind - with Sasuke's face a bit blurry, but nonetheless she knew it was him, it was her father.

Sarada woke up once the sun's rays hit her eyes through the curtains. She rubbed them to remove the sleepiness away while propping her elbow against the bed to sit up. The young Uchiha glided her fingers through her black hair, taking her red eyeglasses from the side table and putting them on before swinging her feet down to the floor.

Sarada performed her usual morning routines quickly; washing herself, brushing her teeth, and dressing up in her usual red qipao top with the Uchiha crest behind, a pair of light-colored shorts, arm warmers, thigh-length stockings and shinobi sandals. And, of course, her forehead protector.

She wasn't usually so fast with all of these, but today was a different day. She was ecstatic as she hurried down the stairs, going straight to the dining room, her smile automatically widening at the sight.

Her mother, Sakura, preparing breakfast as she spoke about something and her father, Sasuke, seated on one of the chairs while listening to her.

It was a simple sight - a scenario that other kids are probably used to seeing everyday, but for Sarada, it was special; it was something that sent a warm feeling to her chest.

"Oh, Sarada." She snapped out of her little reverie when Sakura called her. "Good morning, dear."

A faint blush covered the young girl's cheeks upon being caught staring at the couple. "Good morning, Mom." She replied before slowly turning to Sasuke, who had his eyes on her as well. "Good morning, Papa."

"Morning," Sasuke nodded before sipping on his coffee that his wife had prepared for him.

The smile on Sarada's face became brighter and Sakura didn't fail to notice that. The pink haired woman beamed, urging her daughter to join her father on the table and gave her some breakfast.

"Are you going on a mission today, Sarada?" Sakura inquired, joining the two on the table.

Shaking her head, Sarada answered, "Konohamaru-sensei is still recovering from the previous mission."

"Oh, right." The pinkette suddenly remembered the jounin. "He's still in the hospital..."

"I'll probably train with Mitsuki if he agrees. Boruto would probably pester the Seventh again."

Sakura raised an eyebrow, noticing the displeasure on her daughter's face once she spoke of the young Uzumaki boy. "You and Boruto always seem to fight. You still don't get along?"

A slight frown passed by her face. "It's not that. We're fine. I just don't like how he speaks about the Hokage position."

Sarada's response made her mother chuckle, and she secretly sneaked a glance at Sasuke who was watching her. His face was straight, but she previously heard that he's always been like that; stoic and serious. He's not that affectionate unlike her mother who bravely shows what she feels, and she wondered how he acted when the two of them were alone.

"Boruto is always complaining how he hates his father's position," Sarada added. "And it's weird that Konohamaru-sensei once told me that he can become Hokage. Because from how I see it, he loathes that rank. Besides, if he comes to like it, I don't think I'll let him off easily."
