Sakura grinned at her daughter's statement while Sasuke's eyebrows raised a little. "Sarada," he called and she immediately turned to him, giving him her full attention. "Do you want to become Hokage in the future?"

Sarada locked gazes with his father for a few seconds, before replying with full determination in her face. "Yes," she replied resolutely. "I want to be able to connect with everyone in the village."

Sakura stared at her daughter, eyes full of admiration and love; meanwhile Sasuke's lips twitched into a smirk - a proud, prideful one.

. . .

Breakfast turned out well. Although Sasuke wasn't the guy who liked conversing, he joined in to some of Sarada and Sakura's discussions. It was obvious that the young Uchiha was still adjusting to her father's presence but she was getting used to it quite fast.

"Really?" Sarada's eyes widened upon hearing her mother's words.

"Really." The pinkette nodded eagerly. "Your father is going to watch you train today after meeting with the Seventh."

The smile that glossed Sarada's lips was something Sakura hadn't seen in a while. It brought an extreme amount of happiness and content to the medic's heart.

"I'll go change," she said before leaving the her husband and daughter in the living room to change her clothes.

Sarada pressed her lips together before looking at Sasuke who was staring at her already. She cleared her throat, voicing out the question that she's been wanting to say. "How are you, Papa? How was your journey?"

Sasuke's lips curled up into a very tiny smile - almost unnoticeable. "I have been fine, Sarada."

She smiled joyfully after hearing his reply. "Are you eating well?"

He couldn't help but remember the younger version of his wife, Sakura, while looking at his daughter and listening to her words. It's true that Sarada managed to get his hair and eye color, but most things about her reminded him deeply about Sakura. Both were absolutely tough and brave, but they had the most beautiful and brightest smiles. And he couldn't help but think of how thoughtful Sarada was, just like Sakura.

"I am," he nodded, scooting closer to her. "I hope you're eating well, too."

"I am," she repeated her words, making Sasuke smirk.

"By the way, Papa," Sarada called out. "Will you stay for good?" She reluctantly asked, a faint hope lit in her onyx eyes.

Sasuke's face turned serious and he saw the hope in her eyes cracking, so he sighed deeply. "Two weeks is all I have to offer, Sarada. I eventually have to leave."

He expected her to feel upset, and it was one of those rare times that he was surprised when she shook her head happily. "I'll take what I can get, then. Thank you for staying by our side, Papa."

Sasuke reached over and placed a hand on her head, staring lovingly at his daughter.

. . .

The Uchiha family walked out of the house together. Sarada, unlike earlier, was silent as she marched, but it was only because she paid a lot of attention to her parents' conversation.
