1.24 Fighting

Miller and Connor did a great job by building this carriage. Raven was already lying in it and we all were lined up ready to leave. 

Bellamy "All right, open the gate"

Me "Gunners first!"

They all started to walk out.

I stopped walking when i saw the graves. I bit my lip. 

I felt an arm around my shoulders  "You think this is right?"

Octavia "83 are alive."

Me "17 dead"

Octavia "83 alive. You did your best. You did a great job"

She gave me a soft smile and handed me a gun "come on"

Then we walked to the front.

Miller "Wanna know the first thing i wanna do when we get to the beach?"

I shook my head "no"

Miller"i want to go surfing"

Me "First, keep your eyes open. Second, you don't even know how to surf"

Drew "no more damn trees, just pale, blue water"

Suddenly Octavia stopped and signaled us to stop too.

Jasper"What is it?"

Suddenly Drew fell to the ground in front of me. There was a metal star in his head.

Jasper yelled "Grounders!"

And shit began to go down.

I screamed "BACK TO CAMP! NOW!"

They all ran like hell back to camp.

Jasper and a few others were on the walls.

Jasper "I don't see anyone"

Then we closed the gate.

I climbed up the the watch post next to Bellamy  "you see anything?"

Bellamy looked at me "That thing was pretty close hitting you"

I shook my head  "But it didn't. Are you seeing anything?"

He shook his head, confused "Why aren't they attacking?"

Then it hit me "because we're doing exactly what they wanted us to do"

Bellamy asked confused "What are you talking about?"

Clarke yelled to us from downstairs "Lincoln said the scouts would be the first to arrive"

Octavia "If it's just scouts, we can fight our way out. That's what Lincoln would do"

Bellamy "We're done doing what that grounder would do"

He jumped down in front of her "We tried it and now Drew is dead and it nearly hit Mel. Wanna be next?"

Finn "That Grounder saved our lives"

I added  "And mine"

Finn nodded "I agree with Octavia "

I shook my head "i don't"

Finn "For all we know, there's one scout out there"

Me "One with an pretty good damn aim"

Octavia looked at me "Meli, we can still do this"

Bellamy looked at me "Looking at you, Queen. What's it gonna be? Run and get picked on out in the open, or stand and fight back?"
