"Ma'am I feel like I'm not ready for the piano line yet, can I just stay in the drum for now?" I asked. "Alright, we will enjoy having you for band!"

I walked all the way to the back where Josh was, he looked stressed. I couldn't help but sit down next to him. "Hey Josh, I'm sorry if I embarrassed you, Im willing to do anything to make it up to you.." he turned around and gave me a confused look.

"You didn't embarrass me, why didn't you tell you where coming to this school?" He responded. "I thought you didn't go to this school, there's a lot of schools here.."

He looked at me and said, "it's alright, I'll still be your fren." Did he just called me fren? Oh wow I have five friends now in just one day? I thought to myself.

"So Y/N, you like to play the drums?" Josh asked.

"Yeah, I'm kinda rusty though.." I grabbed some drumsticks.

"Show me.." he responded. "Let's see how rusty you are."

I nodded and sat on the drum set that was next to his, I was nervous. I started banging each drum so hard and fast, I was doing a solo I learned when I used to live in New York. I closed my eyes, I felt the sweat forming in my face from a lot of fast movements. I finally finished and I opened my eyes, Josh had his mouth wide open, I swear I almost saw a fly about to enter his mouth. "You aren't rusty dear, you're GREAT!" he responded. It made me happy hearing those words. "How about we both do a solo?"

"Sounds amazing!" I wiped off some small sweat that was in my face and prepared myself to do a solo with Josh. "One, two, and THREE!" We both banged each drum super fast, I saw josh banging his head while banging each drum. It was about 2 minutes long, we both got so into it, it felt like if we were alone. Until we both obviously stopped. The room was super quiet, I turned to josh he looked scared. Then everyone in the class started clapping, cheers filled the room. Mrs. Dornbusch approached to me and Josh.
"Amazing solo, it'll be amazing if you both did one at the next pep-rally!"

Me and Josh looked at each other a bit confused, but we nodded. "Great work New York and Dun!" A random kid screamed and everyone started clapping again. I felt great, drumming made time go faster in this class that the bell rang. It was finally lunch.

"Y/N, come on!" Josh said, "we can go to lunch together."

"Go on without me, I'll catch up!" I responded. "I need to do something real quick!"

"Oh, alright!" He walked off.

I went up to Mrs. Dornbusch and told her if I could be only in the drum line in band, since I felt super comfortable playing the drums only. She let me stay in the drum line, and I made my way to the cafeteria. It was only 2 minutes since the bell rang and the cafeteria was already packed with about seventy people.

I grabbed my tray and saw what they were giving. It was Taco Bell, but it wasn't even Tuesday, it was Thursday. Still, I liked Taco Bell so I grabbed two tacos, a milk, and an apple. I was looking for Josh, but I couldn't find him. Come on Y/N, look for a blue haired dude with a gray beanie, I thought. I finally found a blue haired person but that person didn't have a gray beanie, but I still made my way over there. It was a girl with super short hair, Debby was sitting next to her. I looked around still trying to find Josh, but then the blue haired girl mouthed to me saying if I wanted to sit with her. I was about to sit down until I heard a voice I recognized, "Y/N!! We're right here!!"
