"Give me two more shots Bella!" The photographer yelled. I looked over my shoulder and smiled, a signature pose of mine.

I was currently in the middle of one of the biggest shoots of my career. Yes, I said career. I've been modeling for almost two years now and I've fallen in love with it. I managed to convince my parents to let me do an ad for Gucci right before I turned seventeen, and everything skyrocketed from there. My mom was the most difficult to get on board for the whole modeling thing but after all my begging and pleading she finally agreed– and now she's my manager. She's damn good at it too. I've modeled for Ralph Lauren, Givenchy, American Eagle, Hollister, Brandy Melville, Chanel, Fred Segal, and several others. I get free clothes every time I do a shoot and I'm pretty sure that's what got me hooked in the first place. I love me some free stuff.

I posed a few more times and waited until the cameras stopped flashing before turning around. Not gonna lie, I was pretty tired. I've been here for some hours and I could use a nap or two. "Perfect, you are simply gorgeous darling." The photographer told me while everyone started clapping. I blushed.

"Thank you." I smiled and walked over to the screen to view the pictures. I liked the majority of them, and I went ahead and chose which ones they could use for the issue.

"You ready to go?" My grandma asked once we were done. I nodded and said goodbye to everyone before heading back to my dressing room. I changed out of the dress I was wearing for the photoshoot and put on some Nike shorts and a sweatshirt. Much better.

"Is mom home yet?" I asked as we got in the car. Grandma told the driver where to go before looking back at me.

"Not yet. She's still in the studio." She said. I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Hey, don't start that mess. You know your mama would be here if she could. She has to work and you know that."

"I know." I said. I did.

"Then why are you acting like that?" My grandma asked.

"Acting like what?"

"Baby, play with me if you want. I wouldn't recommend it." She said.

I sighed. "I just don't understand why she had to go to the studio today. She's always on set for my shoots. She's never missed one before." I said. I know I was being kind of a baby but I can't help it. I'm used to having my mom around most of the time and she's gotten real busy lately. It's an adjustment.

"Bella, you can't have your mama to yourself all the time. Like I said before, you know she has to work. She sat y'all down and had a talk with y'all explaining that she was about to be busy working on this album." My grandma said. "She's going to try to make every photoshoot you have, but if she can't you better not hold it over her head. You understand me?"

"I understand." I said nodding. I was not about to cross my grandma so you're damn right I understood.

"Good." She nodded and sat back. "What was that shoot for again? I know you told me earlier but I forgot."

"Teen Vogue." I said smiling. I was real proud. I've been wanting to model for Vogue since my mom covered the September issue, and Teen Vogue was the first step. "I'm on the cover."

"Oh that's right. Well I can't wait to see it baby. You looked beautiful." My grandma said.

"Thanks." I laughed. "It'll be out next month. I'll make sure to get you one."
