Mercedes lifts the last box into the trunk of her car. She didn't have much to take besides a whole lot of clothes which filled up her backseat with suitcases of them, and personal belongings. The room was apparently already furnished by an interior decorator. The house she was moving to was very modern, and expensive, but luckily she was only renting out a room. Three people lived there, so her sister, Jane said. She was the one who found the house and made the arrangements. So really, the only thing Mercedes knew about her new home was that it was expensive, three rich people lived there, and the university she would be attending was only a ten minute walk away.

"And you're sure they're expecting me?" Mercedes asked as she shut the trunk of the car and turned toward her much taller and much more beautiful sister. "You're sure you paid them the first two months in advance like they asked?"

Jane nods and smiles a little, showing off her dimples. Mercedes always wished she looked like her sister. She has always been so beautiful. Perfect full lips, long dark hair, spotless face and thin figure with the perfect chest. Mercy self consciously looks down at her A-cup chest. She was nineteen and still they decided to stay small. Freckles dotted her nose and cheeks and her body wasn't exactly thin, although it wasn't fat either. She was pretty, but she didn't feel it. Especially not when she compared herself with Jane.

"Mercy, calm down, okay?" Jane tells her, squeezing her shoulders. "I've got it all sorted out." Mercedes opens her mouth to speak but Jane cuts her off. "And don't apologise to me again about how you're wasting the money I have. I might not have much, but I can at least give you a place to stay. It's the least I can do since you got that scholarship so I don't have to pay for your intuition."

No matter how hard Mercedes tries, she can't hold back her tears, causing Jane to wrap her younger sister up in her arms. She has always been emotional. Even the slightest things make her burst into tears.

"Thank you so much," Mercy says, her voice muffled by her sisters shoulder.

"You're so welcome," Jane says. "I'm sure you'll make friends at the university, and maybe even make friends with one of the girls at you're new house." When they pull away, Mercy nods and wipes away her tears. "Now, get in that car before I have to drag you all the way there myself."

As Mercy pulls up to her new house, her heart skips a beat. She knew it was big and beautiful, but this was more than she imagined. Her sister must have really pushed the budget. It wouldn't surprise her if she went over it.

The house was three storeys with a three car garage attached to it. It's windows were huge, and the look of it was grey and light red brick, making it look incredible. The neighbourhood it was in was also incredible. Every house was like this one: expensive.

Mercedes parks her car in the driveway and slowly steps out, looking up at the mansion before proceeding up the path to the front door. Voices can be heard behind it, indicating that the others who live here are inside. She hesitates before knocking.

What if they don't like me? She bites her lip, worried. Nonsense, Mercy. If Jane believes I can make friends, then so should I. Plus, I'm just overreacting.

After her mental conversation with herself, she knocks, and the voices inside quiet down, and within seconds, the heavy redwood door swings open, revealing an all too handsome guy without a shirt on, therefore exposing his all too sexy abs... and the V-line down by the hem of his pants...

Get it together.

Mercedes forces herself to look up, but when she does, she notices the guy in front of her is smirking. Shit. He caught her staring.

"We were wondering how long it would take you to knock," he tells her, his voice deep and smooth. "It took exactly five minutes and thirty-five seconds. What were you doing? Examining the wood on our door?"

He laughs, and oh my God, his laugh... so incredibly sexy it makes Mercy swoon, but she doesn't laugh with him.

"Yeah, I found your door quite fascinating actually," she says, playing along.

He smiles a little and opens the door wider for her to fit through, so she goes in, catching a whiff of the guys delicious scent. Old spice? Whatever it was, it was intoxicating.

Mercy walks though the foyer into a huge living room which connects to an even bigger kitchen, making the room alone look bigger than her entire old house where her sister still lived.

"My name's Ky, by the way," the guy, Ky, says as he appears behind her. "And those are my friends who also live here, Connor and Garrett."

Mercy looks over to the couch and notices two other guys sitting on the couch, one with dirty blonde hair and the other with jet black hair. They were both handsome. Almost too handsome. It made her wonder what she was getting herself into. Ky himself was gorgeous. He had light brown hair with piercing chocolate brown eyes and tan skin. And not to mention his abs again...

Both boys look over at Mercedes and when they notice her, they both stand, eyes wide.

"Hi, I'm Mercedes," she says, her voice quiet and her body language shy. "But you can call me Mercy."

"Damn, Ky," the blonde says. "You weren't kidding about a girl moving in."

"You know me, Connor, I don't kid around," Ky responds. So the blonde is Connor, Mia notes. The black haired one must be Garrett.

"Nice to meet you, gorgeous," Garrett says with a killer smile, causing Mia to flush. "We're happy you'll be staying here. But we do have rules in this house that we expect you to abide by."

She nods. "Of course. What are they?"

Garrett nods at Ky and he takes up the role to tell them to her. "No going into anyone's room without permission. You can bring people here, but try to keep it down." Did he just wink? She had a feeling he didn't mean what she thought he meant. "We don't mind sharing and we expect you not to either. "And we do nothing unless you sign a contract."

Mercedes looks at Ky, puzzled. She had a feeling that everything he said didn't mean what she thought, and this worried her. Although, she was willing to deal with some strange complications.

"Contract?" she asks. ""Oh, I thought my sister sorted all that out for me. Sure, I'll sign."

Ky, Garrett and Connor all exchange glances, then Connor says, "Babe, I don't think you know what he means by contract."

"No?"

"No." He shakes his head, smiling a little at her cluelessness. "Don't worry about that. Not now anyway. Maybe another time."

Mercy raises an eyebrow. "Okay? Well, um, if you don't mind, I'm going to unpack."
