Start from the beginning

He got suspicious, giving me a quetioning look. "You, ehm, you sure 'bout that, babe?"

I nod, smiling through the pain of lying to him, "Yes, of course, why wouldn't I be?"

He shrugs, scratching the back of his head. "I don't know," he murmurs. "You groaned through the kiss. I just assumed it wasn't goo-"

I didn't let him finish. Instead I smile, grabbing his face with both my hands, pressing my lips gently on top of his, giving him a soft and gentle kiss. He was take back by my action but soon kissed me back.

I pulled out of the kiss, smiling goofly at him. "It was perfect."

He grins widely, hugging me.

The warmth from his body quickly spread in my body. The safety I felt once he had put his arms around me. I trust this boy and no one, not even Missy can make me question that. I won't let them do that.

Not to me. Not to him. Not to us.

If they want to break us, fine, go ahead and try. But we won't give in that easily.

"Hey," he cuts off my trail of thoughts, brinning me back to reality.

"Hm?" I hum in reply.

He pulled out of the hug, still holding his arms around me. Locking eyes, he tilts his head to the side, smiling. "I thought we could cuddle and maybe watch a movie?"

My eyes widen as I slowly brought my hands up to my cover my mouth, "Which movie?"

He chuckles, "Eh, how about 'The Notebook'?"

I squeal, jumping up and down in my spot. "Yes!"

Lucas started laughing, shaking his head. "Okay, okay, take it easy."

I shake my head, "I can't!"

A smile crept up in the corner of his lips, his eyes sparkling so beautiful. "You're adorable."

I hide behind my long, brown hair in attempt to hide the blush that was probably showing on my cheeks, the heat already being there.

"You know," he said in a low, husky voice, a smirk almost showing. "We could always..." he tilt his head to the side, now just watching me as he stalked over to me, slowly, which made him look even much more handsome.

I felt my knees going weak but I stayed put on my spot, "What do you have in mind, Friar?"

He arches a brow, "Oh," his hand was put over his heart. "We back on square one with the surename calling?"

Now I smirk, shaking my head. "No. If I recall, square one is how we met."

He nods snowly, coming closer and closer. "Ah, the bump-in's."

"Mhm," I hum, smiling sweetly at him.

He chuckles. He was so close that he had sneaked one arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him, our chest's flush against each other. He kept our gazes locked, looking so deep into my eyes as I searched around in his moss-green ones.

"Damn, you're bautiful, Riley Matthews." He whispers, his mouth barely moving as the words slipped out.

I didn't even hesitate nor try to hide the smile that was big on my face. Lucas was really someone new. He's still the same Lucas Friar as before, just now he's sweeter, not so cold hearted and reckless. He's changing and I can't help but think about how I'm lucky to observe the whole thing.

I really am a lucky girl.
