Her tired self

I've been busy with school again. Back to doing my responsibility. I thought to myself

I woke up feeling a really different thing. I don't even know why I'm feeling this but I just feel it.

I looked at my wrist watch, It's almost 7:00. Kailangan ko ng magmadaling pumasok sa university.

While on my way down the stairs, I saw Luis. I didn't even think that Luis would be in my house this early.

I'm amazed, ang aga ata niyang papasok.

" G-goodmorning Luis, Why are you here" Tanong ko sa kanya.

He just smirked before gazing at my dad who is about to leave for work.

" Tito" Tawag ni Luis kay dad.

Nagulat naman si dad sa pagpunta ni Luis sa amin.

" Son, why are you here" Pakuwa'y tanong ni dad kay Luis.

" I'm here to have a talk with you Tito" Saad lamang ni Luis. Nanlaki agad ang mga mata ko sa narinig ko mula sa kanya.

" Why all of a sudden, son" Rinig kong saad ni dad bago niya nilapag yung gamit niya sa may malapit sa couch sa sala.

" Let's talk then, son. What is it that you want to tell me" Tanong sa kanya ni dad.

" Tito, I've just knew about Gabriel's leaving for the States. And I don't feel comfortable about it." He honestly admitted to my dad. Luis is so damn aware I was just listening to what he was saying.

" It's Gabby's decision, son. I'm afraid I cannot do anything about it" My dad spoke before gazing at my direction.

" With all due respect tito, I'm here to ask you to let Gabriel stay instead. Please don't allow her to leave the country. I believe she can still continue what ever dream she wants for as long as she will stay by my side" Luis told my dad.

Dad gazed at me once more before speaking again.

" Gabby, you come join us here" Saad sa akin ni dad. I obliged in an instant and made my way to their direction.

" My son here is asking for a hope and not a wish, Gabriel. You heard what he said. You both know that I cannot speak for the both of you but I will always respect whatever decision you will make and I guess, my son here wants an answer from you" Dad said to me.

I suddenly felt nervous. If I know, magkakampi ang dalawa. Luis has really been close with my dad since childhood. Kulang na lang, literal na maging kapatid ko na si Luis. My dad was longing for a son and since he was blessed with a daughter instead of a son, he had given the same attention to Luis. But that never gave me a reason to be jealous at Luis. Dad treats us the same at wala na akong mahihiling pa sa kanya dahil binigay niya ang lahat ng pagmamahal na kailangan ko mula sa isang ama, my dad never failed in that field.

I cleared my throat before answering. I held my gaze directly towards Luis before speaking out my answer.

" I've made up my mind dad, I'll be leaving after the semester ends" I told the both of them. Napatingin na lamang si Luis sa akin bago muling nagsalita.

" I'll work onto that answer tito. I believe I have the right to object" Tumawa na lamang si dad sa sinabi ni Luis sa akin.

" Alright son, work onto what ever you know is right, I'll be leaving for work. The both of you needs to go to school already" Saad na lamang sa amin ni dad.
