Chapter 11

"Are-" the man couldn't say anything when two wolves appeared in the area as one jumped on the sketchy guy tackling him down while the other stood protectively in front of the three while growling loudly, as he glared at the woman who looked fearful and hid something behind her back.

The people around quickly evacuated the area while screaming or trying to protect their children not sure of the two large wolves' next moves.

When Maurice began to relax a bit along with Blast who finally stopped growling his tail wagging softly "Lunar, Alpha," the young 10-year-old said earning the two wolves' attention when they both calmed down and backed off heading towards the child.

Though the food guy was a bit startled.

But instantly calmed down he noticed that they weren't going to do anything to him, but instead, they seemed actually quite pleased with the man's presence so he sighed taking a deep breath.

"This was most certainly not how I excepted my day to go," he said to himself while shaking his head as the four that were in front of him now looked up at him when he chuckled "welp names Julian by the way," Julian said sheepishly.
"Nice to meet you. I'll tell you my name later," Maurice answered when Suzen turned her attention towards the man who was trying to move away before she snapped at him and then sat on his back stopping his movements while glaring at the woman who was too scared to move.

Julian had finished talking to the police officers and animal control as Maurice happily at a chili dog with Suzen, Leo, and Blast all sitting around him calmly while the man and woman were being forced into the police care.
The men that worked for animal control had backed off luckily seeing at the two wolves were only protecting Maurice and hadn't caused any harm to anyone.

Well besides the man who was trying to kidnap the 10-year old that is so they let it slide since as all three wolves were collared and well trained for protection which was written on the back of their tags. (Thank you Longclaw for this idea)

So after a while. 

Julian went over to the young male and sat beside him "so, about earner?" he questioned when Maurice looked up at him and then smiled.

When Leo barked and pressed his muzzle into Maurice's leg earning the child's attention "today is my 10th birthday. I was heading somewhere because I was told I had a surprise," Maurice says "oh really? Is it close by here?" Julian asked with a tilt of his head.

Suzen huffed laying her head down "yea it is, so we might end up meeting agian," the young male says with a smile before giving Julian a big hug once he was done eating.

"Thanks for the chili dog by the way," Maurice says before he got off the bench "I'll pay you back," he soon says as Julian blinked "uh, yeah I'll be waiting for your return, and don't worry about pay me back kid," he says as he watched the young male run off as the three wolves quickly followed him.

"That brat never told me his name," Julain said before chuckling to himself while shaking his head as he soon got up from the bench and went over to his cart so he could move locations.

With Sonic and the other wolves, the young male slowed down to stop when he saw a playground as Leo and Suzen stopped at his side their tails wagging softly.

*Would you like to play for a bit pup?* Leo huffed as the young male nodded his head "can I go play?" Maurice asked with a big smile on his face *of course pup, we still have time,* Suzen huffed giving the young 10-year-old permission to go play.
Which he happily did as his tail wagged with joy while the two wolves sat down to keep a watchful eye on the young male as Blast laid down to rest close to his father.

*Oh! I hope he's able to make more friends!!* Leo whined slightly dancing a little bit in the place he was sitting *I'm sure he'd be able to,* Suzen huffed and licked her mate's cheek.

*Yes, of course, he'll be able to,* Leo barked his tail wagging with joy as Suzen shook her head.

Some parents had looked over to see the wolves just sitting there with their tails wagging softly and while some were a bit fearful of their presence others just thought they were dogs watching over their owner's kid.

And their thoughts were confirmed when Maurice had gone over to the two dogs with another kid following right behind him,  she was a small soft pink-colored hedgehog who looked around 5 years old and wore a green shirt and a cute orange skirt with a redhead band on top of her head.

"Alpha, Lunar, Blast I made a new friend!" Maurice said happily a large smile on his face as the pinkette smiled shyly as Leo got up carefully and went closer to the young 5-year-old who looked up at him.
*Oh! She's so cute!!* Leo barked before lightly nuzzling the little girls cheek causing her to giggle and gave Leo a big hug her tail wagging.

*Pup, what's her name?* Suzen huffed before lightly pawing at Blast who lifted his head up and yawned.

Maurice smiled when Leo turned his attention over to Maurie and licked his cheek earning another giggle.

"Mauwice let's play!" Amelia said while bouncing happily "ok!" Maurice replied before both kids happily ran off together as Leo looked at his mate *this is an accomplishment,* he huffed proudly.

Until Suzen pawed at his chest *calm down, you're going to over-excite yourself,* she barked slightly *but Suzen~ Our masters would be over the moon with joy if they heard about Maurice's first friend after all these years! You can't just tell me to calm down,* Leo whined while bowing in a playful position.
*I know, but don't get this over your head, we still have to make sure Pup is protected and out of harm's way so we can't risk things right now until he's stronger,* Suzen growled slightly placing her paw on top of Leo's head.

When Lunar whined once more then sat up to pout at his mate until she leaned forward and rubbed their noses together *I know, just be patient love just for a while longer,* she huffed as her mate sat by her side, understanding the situation they were in as they watched Maurice and his new friend Amelia play around at the park together.
