Chapter 10

Maurice had soon woke up to Leo licking him as he whimpered softly *stay still for me pup, please stop moving,* the wolf huffed as Blast was standing at full attention.

Even though he was still small due to his height and age being merged with Maurice once their contacts were established together. He was still growling up pretty quickly as his ears were pointed forward and were constantly on high alert until Suzen began responding.

*Has he woken up yet?* Suzen huffed earning Leo's attention when his tail wagged softly.

*He has,* Leo barked slightly as his mate went over and lightly bumped their heads together *how are you feeling so far pup, Blast come here,* Suzen ears pointed forward while looking over to the small pup.

Who went over and snuggled in between his parents "what happened?" Maurice asked a bit scared when both adult wolves looked at each other than at the young male. 

*We'll tell you once your better or maybe when your older ok, but for now stay still,* Suzen huffed while pressing her muzzle into the 9-year-olds cheek when Leo went back to licking Maurice "ok, alpha," the young male answered with a slight pout on his face.
When Leo gently pulled Maurice close to him as Suzen decided to help her mate as she also started to lick Maurice as well.

Blast was comfortable as he slowly fell back asleep, fully relaxed which his parents were quite glad for, and not a worried bundled mess.

Suzen was now carrying Maurice on her back once more with Lunar and Blast following right behind her until she stopped at a specific area *alright Maurice, we're here,* she barked while laying down so the young male could get down.
"Where are we?" he asked confused *A town,* Leo huffed while pressing his muzzle against the young male's cheek.

"But why?" Maurice asked confused until both wolves looked at each other while Blast went over to stand by the young male's side.

*Well for starters today's your 10th birthday,* Suzen growled playfully *and second, we're getting pretty close to our actual destination,* Leo barked while happily dancing around his tail wagging with pure joy.

When Maurice's eyes widened with awe "for real!!" he said happily while bouncing up and down with excitement as Blast's tail wagged.

*So, now, why don't you go on out there pup! Enjoy your freedom and if you need anything just give us a howl,* Suzen barked when Maurice grinned with joy as he then hugged both wolves "thank you so much!!" he said with joy *oh, and one more thing!* Leo huffed stopping the young male from running off.
*Try to keep your speed on the down low, just like what Suzen taught you ok. I know you're fast and can get out of trouble by yourself, but...I just-* Leo was cut off when Maurice hugged him.

"Don't worry about it Lunar, I promise to not go overboard. I'm a big boy now," Maurice says before running off with Blast following right behind him.

As Suzen shook her head, then licked her mate's cheek *let's put some faith into him ok. He's a strong kid plus, we taught him well,* she huffed when Leo leaned into her *I know alpha...* he wined slightly.

With Maurice and Blast, they both stopped running and began walking together as they looked around the town in awe *wow, this place is so cool,* Blast barked as his tail wagged with joy.

Maurice looked around with a large smile on his face "ya," he replied as they walked together without bothering any of the other people who also walked around. Some with families, some with friends, some with lovers, and some who just wanted to be alone.

Though were was something Maurice had taken notice of...

Most of the kids who looked around his age or younger were with someone much older than them but the young now 10-year-old didn't mind it.

He had a different situation from the other kids that were around the town.

Soon after a while, they ended up at a park where something caught their attention as the young male went over his tail wagging happily with Blast following right after him quickly.

"Hot dogs?" Maurice read the sign that was on the cart which earned a man's attention as he looked down at the young male before smiling and kneeling down "hey there," he says earning the two's attention.

"What can I do for the two of you?" the man asked as Maurice hummed it's been a while since he's talked to other people "uh...I-I don't, have any money on me..." Maurice mumbled while glancing at the ground.
"Hm, well, what about your parents?" the man asked but Maurice shook his head as he opened his mouth to say something Blast started growling which alerted both Maurice and the man.

"Blast?" he asked when he noticed Blast was glaring at someone to which the young male turned around to see someone walking over to them with a smile on his face "son! there you are. Me and your mother have been looking all over for you," the strange man said.

Maurice's ears lowered as he moved back "I don't know you," he muttered under his breath while Blast growl's got louder before he started barking "now, now, Spike calm down," the man says with a chuckle but Blast didn't stop.
"T-that's not his name! Stay away!" Maurice shouted while building up the courage he couldn't allow the person in front of him to see that he was scared.

This ruckus began to earn other people's attention as the food man frowned before standing up "sir are you sure he's your son? This is too much of a negative reaction," he questioned when the other man chuckled nervously.

"He's just had a bad morning. You see we got into a little bit of an argument earlier and, you know how kids are," he replied "and the dog?" the food guy questioned with a raised brow.

"Still in training, we just got him a few days ago for my son's tenth birthday and Spike has yet to warm up to me but he adores my wife and son," the man says while rubbing the back of his neck, before looking at Maurice "son, please calm down, you and spike are making a fuss," the man says with a slight frown.

When the food guy sighed and shook his head "I'm sorry sir, but I'm going to have to ask you to step away from the boy. I mean for peat's sake you don't even know your own dog's name and you claim to have gotten him on your son's 10th birthday. But yet this pup is so aggressive towards you, when they're normally mostly positive around a lot of people or even scared," he says.

When Blast huffed agitated and stood closer to Maurice before howling which earned both man's attention as Maurice slightly moved back lightly grabbing onto the food man's apron.
