The ground beneath you suddenly began to shake- an earthquake. A small one of proportion that would usually lead to a volcanic eruption. Bill began to smile, or, as much as he could without a mouth. "Isn't Oregon such a lovely place! The biggest dimensional anomaly right at my fingertips! AND NO HUMAN CAN STOP ME!" Bill cackled and disappeared without a trace.

You stood up out of the bushes, shaking. The hawk flew down from his post and hovered in front of you with a look of concern. "I..." you began, barely able to utter the words. "I c-caused that...?"

The hawk bowed his head somberly, "I am afraid so, dear goose. Little is known about Cipher's state of mind, other than his determination to whatever task he sets himself to."

"I... I-I can't believe it.... H-he said he wasn't going to do it..."

"Few things my kind foresees go uncompleted. He would have done so eventually. My belief is that your death would be the leading cause. Cipher is a fickle being- generally unharmed by time. It takes incredible power to stop Cipher's knowledge of time stopping, a power only I hold. You, however, are mortal. Time is your enemy, and will forever be so."

"He... he trusted me..." you mumbled, covering your face with your hands.

"Fear not, goose," the hawk said, landing in front of you and looking you in the eyes. "Trust is simply a road. A road that leads to belief. He may have lost trust, trust being a hard path to fix. But his belief in you still stands tall. It will take many a year for the building to wither and fall. Which is why you must find Cipher, stop him if possible. Delay his eventual reign. If not, end his reign after it has thus forth completed our prophecy. If you build onto his belief, the road of trust will mend itself. However, if you stop him by other means, I must warn you his belief in you may crumble. And I am afraid all that may be left is one simple thing- his love."

"How is that bad...?" you questioned, sniffing.

"Love devoid of trust and belief is dangerous. He will care for you. To a point. As shooting star said before, he would know no difference between loving you and caging an animal. You would be trapped, possibly with your body in an endless time loop so you could never age. Even if you do banish him from this dimension, he will eventually find a way to come back. Within your lifetime. I see you living much longer than many humans this generation will, allowing Cipher a long window of time to find you once again."

You thought back to your ex. How he seemed to love you, but was missing something. He was bad enough being simply human. A dream demon hot on your trail for betraying him could have given you nightmares for two whole lifetimes. You looked at the hawk. "How... how can I stop him...?"

The hawk sighed, "Sadly, I cannot tell you how to stop him. That is your choice. But I can tell you where to stop him before fulfilling the prophecy. The top of Wy'East. Known to you modern humans as Mount Hood. Cipher will be sitting atop the triangular rock in the center of the soon-to-erupt cone."

"... And if I don't make it before the prophecy...?"

"I... cannot foresee that possibility. I lack the ability. I can only foresee what is to happen in my own dimension. And I will not be able to help you there."

You stood silent.

The hawk suddenly flew up into the air with a caw. "Dear goose, catalyst of change, choose wisely! Listen to your heart, your head lacks the courage! Farewell!" he called.

The next thing you knew was dropping to the floor with the book with the silver, six-fingered hand in your arms.

A/N: Guess who's back from the dead! It's actually kind of cold despite it being summer but it's nice and cozy- minus the fact I actually have very little control of my hands right now. Sorry about the long wait. Finals was rearing its ugly head around the corner and when I get stressed, I get stressed. Like sit-alone-in-my-bed-thinking-about-my-regretful-decisions-after-a-two-hour-long-depression-nap kind of stress. So then I had to destress and I got a new video game for my computer (really it's the family's computer because I only have half a wall seperating me from my brother because we need an electrician and contractor. But once I get my wall I'll get a neat little desk with a nice little book nook where I can hide away from people and cry about not getting the special edition Journal 3 :D And a computer. And when I get my own computer I'm gonna get a job somehow and download a shit ton of games. Or maybe just a few. I'm more of a casual player but when I actually start playing a game and get super invested in it you won't see me for like a week straight because I'll be busy murdering dragons in Skyrim and filling my Pokedex in Pokemon and etc. I'm excited about that aspect which is why I've been waiting for the day I'm legally able to drive (my mom teaches me illegally because screw laws .3.) so I can get a job) Did I mention my family actually scammed someone out of 5 bucks for wood that was actually free? Haha. Anyhoo, I should have the next update by next week? I'm trying to think on a good story line and I've got two ways of doing it. Unless you guys want me to maybe make a choice and that choice leads to two different chapters which will lead to two different sequels? That'll be awesome
