I was wearing sweats and a plain t-shirt

Ehh who cared who was I going to see besides I really didn't have time for Cameron's other 14-year-old friends to ogle me.

Luckily the park wasn't that far so I could go on foot.

Funny I hadn't been to a park in years it wasn't the same without Dad.

Going to the park was one of my most cherishable memories in those days I was actually happy and mother wore a smile on her face that could never be wiped off.

Life was good then. 

I closed my eyes and shook my head no I didn't want to remember those moments I could never get them back it's better if I didn't think about them.

I sped up my walk this was the exact reason why I didn't like being alone with myself my mind was guaranteed to bring up something.

Like Chase

I hit my head with my hand Chase was the last person I wanted to think about.

  The sound of Cheers snapped me out of my thoughts as I approached the court.

Wow the court was actually full today apparently there was a game going on, a familiar red shirt caught my attention.

Camaron.

No wonder he didn't come home yet he was in the middle of a game and it seemed like his team was winning but only by a few points.

There was only a couple more seconds left in the game

He was about to make a shot but a player from the opposite team blocked it, just as the ball was about to go out of bounds a guy in blue shorts quickly ran up intercepted and made the shot just as the timer buzzed the crowd went wild with screams.

They won the game!

I clapped and cheered along with the crowd

Camaron ran over and high fived the guy in blue shorts.  

I was just about to walk up to him when the guy in blue shorts turned his head it was.... Chase!

I froze I had forgotten he played ball actually that was an understatement he was the star player on the team. One of the recent things I learned about.

I quickly went the opposite direction, luckily they didn't see me yet.

Now how was I going to get Cameron's attention without attracting Chase also?

"Hey Jade" I looked up to find two girls coming in my direction I smiled and waved they were Ivy's friends from school Tasha and Rita

"What are you doing here?" one of them asked 

"Oh I just came to get my brother, " I answered I looked at them suspiciously "what are you two doing here isn't it past your bedtime,"I asked

They looked at each other and laughed. 

"What bedtime?" Rita said 

"Yeah for real no one has a bedtime anymore girl" Tasha agreed 

I shook my head kids these days

My phone started vibrating I checked it was my mom dang I was gone for way too long I had to get Cameron fast.

"Hey can you do me a favor real quick "I asked sweetly

I nodded in approval as Tasha and Rita giggled and carried on in front of Chase.
