A heart, hardened with sorrow,
Weighed her down.
Woe, etched deep into the soul,
Banished from the clouds,
Cast out from her home.
White, pearly wings were on fire
Voice that divine,
Now screamed in pain.
Like the feathers,
Memories disappeared one by one
The Fall left nothing behind
Until all that she remembered,
All that she knew,
Was that she did wrong,
And now for that,
She was forsaken.

Fire was all she was. Her first and last breath expanded her lungs till there was no more air and only the flame that threatened to consume her from within. Her whole being transformed and twisted into something more fragile, a handful of bones, meat and muscles, a mockery of the once immortal being she was. Her chest constricted and caved in from the pain of falling away from everything she knew and into the unknown.

Her pearly white wings lay limp crookedly behind her in an odd angle as the wind rushed up to meet her burning form.

She opened her mouth to scream at the pain and injustice, but no sound left her.
