KD woke up the next morning in a different element. He rubbed his eyes as he examined the room that he woke up in. He lifted himself up with his arms and looked around the room. Was he at Lauren's place? The space on the bed next to him was empty, but it wasn't made. He got up from bed, and walked downstairs, until he noticed that he wasn't wearing anything so he quickly put his clothes from last night back on. He walked downstairs, seeing Lauren who was wearing sweatpants and a sports bra while making a protein shake.

"Lauren Hill!" KD said, sitting down on a stool.

"Kevin Durant!" She replied.

"Yeah...umm..about last night, I'm sorr-" KD began.

"I liked it." Lauren interrupted.

"Wait what?" KD said, taken aback.

"I mean, I'm not gonna lie, I kinda liked it." Lauren shrugged.

"But what about?-"

"Nobody has to know." She said.

"No Lauren I can't do that to them."

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"I can't do that to Klay, and I can't keep secrets from my team. It was my mistake, I was drunk, and I shouldn't have done it. I knew what I was getting myself into and I don't know why I carried on with it." KD said, with his head down.

"No it was also my fault for letting it happen. I could've stopped you, but I didn't." Lauren said, but was she really starting to develop feelings for Klay's teammate?

"It's just a stupid mistake, let's just pretend it never happened, yeah?" KD laughed awkwardly.

"Deal." Lauren nodded her head. She brushed off the feelings, knowing it wasn't mutual.

Lauren finished making protein shakes for the two of them as they headed out the door, since they were going to work out together. Lauren drove to the usual gym she goes to, meeting up with her trainer, Dom.

"Ayyyy Dom! KD wants to work out with us today." Lauren said as they walked through the entrance, KD and Dom shaking hands.

They began their intense workout, breaking a sweat. As KD and Lauren were working out, Dom decided to pull out Lauren's phone and snapchat them, since he normally does that with Lauren.

"On that grind💪🏼" he captioned before posting it onto Lauren's story.

Lauren was doing side planks as KD started to lift weights. As she was doing her set, she couldn't help but stare at a shirtless Kevin, watching his biceps flex as he lifted the weights.

"Stop it Lauren." She thought to herself, but she couldn't help it. Once her set of side planks were over, she began doing squats, as her trainer counted down from one hundred for her.

"Seventy-six, seventy-five, seventy-four, you're doing great Lauren." Dom said as she did her squats.

As Lauren was doing her set, KD was still lifting weights, but like Lauren, he couldn't help but stare. He watched as her perfect, model figure did the squats. He shook the thought out of his head but he found himself coming back to staring.

As they both finished their sets, they finally finished their hour and a half workout.

"Great workout today guys! Nice meeting you KD!"

"Nice meeting you Dom!"

"Good workout huh?" Lauren said as she grabbed a towel and rubbed it all over her face.

"Yeah." KD nodded, still staring at Lauren, who was on yoga pants and a sports bra.

"Snap out of it." KD told himself.

"You wanna get lunch before your flight to Oakland?" Lauren suggested as KD agreed while they walked out of the gym.

The snapchat that Dom posted was seen by everyone, so that meant paparazzi were waiting outside. Like they suspected, flashes were coming from every single direction outside of the gym.

"LAUREN, KD! ARE YOU TWO DATING PLEASE CONFIRM OR DENY!"

"LAUREN, WHAT HAPPENED TO KLAY?"

"LAUREN, WHEN WILL YOU STOP HOEING AROUND?"

"KD WHAT DOES KLAY THINK ABOUT THIS?"

All of the questions were ignored by the two as they walked towards Lauren's car. They got in and Lauren immediately drove off. Lauren stopped by a sandwich shop just inside Calabasas. Paparazzi followed them there but they quickly made their way inside.

"I am so hungry after that workout." Lauren sighed as they were sat down at a table.

"Same." KD replied, with a straight face.

"Hey, you okay?" Lauren asked, noticing KD was acting weird and emotionless.

"What? Me? Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." KD said, brushing it off.

"Are you sure?" Lauren raised her eyebrows.

"Ugh no." KD gave in as he put his head in his heads.

"What's wrong?" Lauren said, concerned.

"Okay look, I really care about Klay and even though him and I have only been teammates for not even a year, I want the best for him ya know? And I don't know just what happened in Vegas and then again last night, I just can't do that to him man. I just feel so guilty." KD said, letting it all out, being followed with a big sigh.

"K, this isn't all your fault. It takes two people, so it's technically my fault too. I know Klay and I aren't really in a relationship right now, but I knew that it wasn't the right thing to do, yet I followed with it anyway." Lauren shook her head.

"I don't know Lauren, once was already bad, and now that we did that two times, I don't know." KD said, in a worried tone.

"Can I confess something?" Lauren asked as KD looked up at her.

"I have mixed emotions about this. About us." Lauren spoke out.

"What do you mean?" KD asked.

"I don't feel guilty." Lauren responded.
